This insult to conservatives—courtesy of Reince Preibus and Mitch McConnell
I thought it took a GOP Senator, Olympia Snowe’s, help to vote it out of committee...
Olympia Snowe should have been long gone, except that the people of her state are raving liberals, regardless of party.
But at the final voting, it didn’t matter anyway because there simply weren’t enough votes.
We have to get a majority. Even the one or two seats necessary to gain a majority would be enough, because then Harry Reid would have to be replaced. But more would be better.
Who is this ‘we’ you speak of, kemosabe?
The national GOP decided that they don’t want my vote, and I’m more than happy not to give it to them.
Maybe if a good candidate comes along. Maybe.
What more does the Republican Party have to do to convince Conservatives that they are not welcome or wanted in Republican Party?
It’s a numbers game. The GOP “we” has to be bigger than the Dem “we.” One of the things that enabled people like Cochran and even Barbour to coast along for so long was that the GOP didn’t have a majority, and in this radically Dem-politicized world, the only thing that matters is “we won.” So in a sense, it didn’t matter whether they had any principles or not...they just devoted themselves to getting pork for their families and their political allies.
Once upon a time, legislators respected and worked with each other, but Obama honestly doesn’t care what the citizens think and he doesn’t waste any time courting public opinion - and thus, neither do the Dems. So it’s either a majority or nothing.
People who think we can wait until 2016 to save our country are fools. It’s now or never, and we have to get a GOP majority in both houses.

Paid for by a pac headed by Haley Barbour’s nephew, Henry.
Does this sound like a GOP that’s interested in stopping Obama?
Darn! I didn’t think of that in time! I will next time, though. :)
No, they’re not - they’re just interested in perpetuating themselves. But the problem is that unless there’s a numerical majority, they can’t stop Obama even if they seriously want to do so.
This has enabled many a GOPer to coast along without doing a darn thing except look for pork (not even pretending to do so for their districts anymore...now they just look for juicy pork for themselves and their families and friends).
Having a majority would actually put more pressure on the GOP because they couldn’t excuse themselves on the grounds of powerlessness, which is what they do now.
The Old Grey Lady is full of sh*t. The only people bringing up the Confederacy was Thud’s campaign, in an attempt to smear Chris McDaniels.
