Ted Cruz: 'I Certainly Congratulate' Thad Cochran
Breitbart ^ | June 25, 2014 | Charlie Spiering

Chris McDaniel may have refused to concede the Mississippi Senate primary without a challenge, but Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) appears to be moving on after the Tea Party suffered primary defeats last night.

“I certainly congratulate my colleague, Thad,” Cruz said on Fox and Friends Wednesday morning, pointing out that the Republican establishment poured millions into the Mississippi race and only won by a thin margin. Cruz reminded the hosts that he did not endorse a candidate in the Mississippi primary, as he promised to stay out of incumbent Senate races.

But Cruz insisted that Cochran’s narrow victory should be a warning for Republicans in Washington, D.C. “I think that demonstrates that there is a lot of hunger for change. People are frustrated with Washington, and they're hungry for leaders who will stand up and make the case we need to go a different path,” Cruz said.

*sigh* no comment on the fact that Democrats now choose the candidates for both parties. I’m disappointed with Cruz. He should have excoriated the old bas*ard for his dirty tactics, and cheating on his bedridden wife, not to mention the bestiality.

One of Thad's animal friends also congratulates him.

As soon as they picture themselves in the wh, they start with the schmoozing and stop fighting.

The Tea Party may have had a defeat last night, but I doubt the GOP - Good Ole Pricks - understands how many bridges it burned to get there. In 2002, IIRC, Cochran got 85% of the vote. In 2008, he got 60%. In 2014, after spitting in the face of over half the Republicans in Mississippi, how many will he get?

35,000 Democrats, mostly African American, did…..and he won by 6400 votes.

Without those votes, he loses by something like 8-9%.

Congratulating Cocharan would be a rare error from Ted Cruz. He’s condoning the disgusting RINO backstabber tactics...and not helping if it goes to court.

How do you get “closed” primaries? Is it a state thing or is it the Repub party state thing?

What??? Why didn’t Cruz just shut up until the possible legal challenge is filed?

All politicians are alike. You can’t trust any of them.

Cruz is just doing the political thing. He did say that there is something wrong with motivating liberal democrats to win.

I think Cruz can take a pass on this one. He has been out there fighting the good fight and taking arrows from every place. If he decides to run for Prez - then he has to keep his ammo dry in hopes to get the GOPe on board. Simple as that, IMO. Some on here want others to shoot of their mouth at every opportunity - that isn’t always the smart thing to do. Sarah can do this because she isn’t in office nor running for one right now. Cruz is just being polite and I seriously doubt he wanted Thad to win. Once again - just my opinion.\\

Anything like that would need Haley Barbour’s seal of approval in Mississippi, and there’s a fat (no, wait, morbidly obese) chance of that.

“..pointing out that the Republican establishment poured millions into the Mississippi race and only won by a thin margin.”

::::::::
And what is the objective of the GOPe?? What are they trying to do? Just lose more elections? Prevent Repubs from fighting the Rats? Continue sucking up more big lobby money to feather their nests?

Never a word about what they want to do FOR America...as opposed to doing things TO America.

Cochran should be ashamed for getting democrat votes.
But we are proud for Ronald Reagan to get democrat votes?
Reagan democrats good, Cochran democrats bad?

Conundrum, dichotomy and oxymoron combined in to one?

I doubt it either, but this was such a spit in the face of the base, it warranted some condemnation of Thad. What would it really have hurt if Cruz had just called him what he is, ‘an old senile b*astard’?
