To: morphing libertarian
At this moment in history, I would argue that the times call for a commander in chief with personal military experience.

That is where we are. Things are that grave.

No exceptions to this no matter how much one might like any contenders legislative or executive accomplishments.

Even if we avoid civil war at home (by no means a given) the world is about to go through a very nasty upheaval. So there are a whole lot of people not qualified to be president at the moment, even people I like as well as other people I despise to the same degree that I loathe Hillary.

He was never qualified and your point is one of the main reasons.

McCain fills that criteria, and frankly, I'm convinced he would NOT have been even the slightest bit of an improvement.
