I always wondered why King, as someone who started on the bottom and worked his way up to becoming wealthy, would want anything to do with people who think the lazy and irresponsible have just as much right to being wealthy as he did.
But life is full of people who live by double-standards.
It’s certainly a puzzle although he’s always been a semi-shut-in in Maine, which is probably more Canadian than American.
