The Muslim Brotherhood: Cut off at the roots (Egypt)
Ahram ^ | Friday 20 Jun 2014 | Ahmed Eleiba

The Egyptian government continues concerted attempts to dismantle the Muslim Brotherhood’s sources of funding.

In Contrast to President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi’s overtures to Muslim Brotherhood members not involved in violence in the post-30 June 2013 period, the government is continuing to follow through on policies aimed at politically eliminating the Islamist organisation and cutting off its sources of funding. Most recently the Teachers and Pharmacists Syndicates, long time political platforms for the Brotherhood, were sequestrated. Earlier this week the assets of Zad and Seoudi supermarket chains, owned by leading Brotherhood members Khairat Al-Shater and Abdel-Rahman Seoudi, were seized.

Though it sometimes appears there is an element of conflict between the political outlook and actual practice of the government towards the Brotherhood on closer inspection this proves not to be the case. President El-Sisi has stated on numerous occasions that as long as he is in office there will be no Brotherhood organisation and “no office of the Supreme Guide” in Egypt.

Obama must be disappointed in Egyptian response to his efforts to force the Muslim Brotherhood Terrorists into power in Egypt.

I have from the beginning seen consistency in Sisi's handling of this situation. He has made a great contribution to Egypt.

May this be the model for the countries surrounding Egypt.

May Egypt continue to resist the Islamists. (Yes, the Egyptians know what Islamist means. They are largely Muslim, but they want no part of the Islamists.)

If they do not cut off Iran, then they are not serious.

Besides, the crowd chanting “To Jerusalem we go, martyrs in the millions” in Tahrir Square back in 2011 were not MB and Salafi exclusively, by a long shot; so thinking that the majority of Egyptians are not “Islamist” is folly, especially given their new president’s neo-Nasserist outlook, which does not exclude Sharia, pan-Arabism or other such antisemitic and anti-Western notions.

Egypt is the one bright spot of sanity in the entire region for taking on this task. May Egypt’s Leadership prevail in their quest to stifle the evil of the moslem brotherhood.

There are forces in Egypt and in the US who trust and cooperate. In spite of Obozo.

Egypt has an ancient history prior to Islam. Egyptians know about Jews and Christians.

It is clearly demonstrated that el Sisi protected the Copts from total distruction and is rebuilding the burned/destroyed churches.

There is active cooperation between the Israel military and the Egyptian military.

Egypt is not a nation that directly embraces the West. But they were under English rule for a long time. They understand us.

I personally like el Sisi. I have friends in Cairo. Those I know have demonstrated they are knowledgeable and honest.

Past that, you can think what you like.

Odumbo must be “boiling over” as his buddies head to the gallows. I would not be surprised to see him order military action against the Egyptian gubmint now.

May some of the “boiling over” burn Obozo.

His lies will eventually devour him.

All I know is what I see. Rapprochement with Russia means rapprochement with its allies, Iran chief among them in the so-called “Muslim world”. Among other things.

On a tangential but slightly related matter, Narendra Modi was lauded on here by those unfamiliar to him, mainly because he has an aggressive stance against “Islamists”. But his true colors are showing already.

I base my trust in the new Egyptian government on what I have observed and discourse with friends I have made in Egypt. Friends who I knew long before the overthrow of Morsi.

The Egyptian military still has active connections with the US and Israel.

Actions speak louder than words.

And about Russia? Had we adult leadership in DC, the situation could be greatly different. Unfortunately we do not.

The Egyptian military maintained active connections with the US and Israel even throughout Morsi’s presidency—and that was one of the factors that even mainstream Egyptians cited to justify his overthrow.

May this be the model for the countries surrounding Egypt.

'Model' may be too strong a word, but may this be an inspiration for THIS country. There are tons of infrastructure for liberalism that needs to be destroyed as thoroughly as Lois Lerner's emails and until they are as difficult to reconstruct as Obama's back history. This needs doing with the priority and single mindedness that Sisi has used in Egypt. Some of what needs destroying is Muslim Brotherhood, much is not. The problem has grown to where this is a generational task, requiring careful framing to avoid its premature withdrawal. Hopefully it can be done with less violence than in Egypt, but we must not let the violent left's cries of "Violence!" shield them from what needs doing. Until this is done we will remain limited in our ability to act externally by internal backstabbers and their foolish recruits. Some of those fools can be salvaged, some will need to be treated like the knowing left to which they've aligned.

Yes. The Egyptian military is the only reason that Obozo and his backers did not succeed in forcing Egypt under Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood Terrorists. HE REFUSED to fire on his countrymen when Tens of Millions refused to go along.

When we in the US regain control, in November by taking the Senate, it is time for serious large scale investigations, trials and convictions of large numbers of TRAITORS. That is what these Leftist tards are.

Obama is guilty of TREASON. He armed and provided assistance to an enemy that declared war on the US on 9/11/01 and has not relented since. That is the very definition of Treason specified in the Constitution.

I visited Egypt many years ago,

Wonderful people, I’m very proud of them for throwing off the yoke of what our evil unclean spirit of a president attempted to force on them in 2009, to submit to his supposed worldly wisdom of calling evil good and good evil,

They rejected it, they saw what we (collectively) cannot,

This is a spiritual war and it is growing in intensity,

And until enough people realize whats happening and join the battle in the spirit, rebuking this evil, it and they will keep marching forward unchecked,

“Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 18:18

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12

Your quote

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12

and in 6:13 we are told to Stand.

Ephesians 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
