Presbyterian Leader to Jews: Abandon Israel For America
JPUpdates ^ | 6-17-14 | Boruch Shubert

A leader of the Presbyterian Church has added to the already existing tensions between his sect and the Jewish community by publicly calling on the Jewish people to leave Israel and permanently settle in the United States.

Reverend Larry Grimm of the Capitol Heights Presbyterian Church in Colorado, a longtime advocate of the movement to economically and socially boycott the Jewish state, said that Jews should realize that America is the true Promised Land. Grimm’s statement comes as the Presbyterian Church (USA) prepares to vote at its General Assembly on whether to formally divest from Israel.

In a posting on Facebook, Reverend Grimm addressed the Jewish people by writing, “America is the Promised Land. We all know this. Come to the land of opportunity. Quit feeling guilt about what you are doing in Palestine, Jewish friends. Stop it. Come home to America!”

The former chair of the Justice Commission of the Colorado Council of Churches did not elaborate as to how he arrived at the conclusion that Israel was not the actual Jewish Promised Land, as it has been known historically, or why he feels that it makes sense for approximately six million Jews to abandon their homes. Nevertheless, his proposal was quickly seconded by many of his fellow religious adherents.

While many Presbyterian divestment supporters have claimed that they are not against Israel’s existence, only its “occupation” of “Palestinian territory,” this latest incident appears to prove otherwise. In fact, many within the Presbyterian Church have begun to express alarm at the anti-Israel stance of much of their leadership. One group of prominent Presbyterian leaders recently noted that “Zionism Unsettled,” the pamphlet produced by Church members to make the case for divestment, had been endorsed by notorious white supremacist David Duke, who praised its utilization of racist terminology he originally popularized.

“To argue that any Jewish desire for any form of statehood within their historic homeland is inherently discriminatory,” the Church leaders cautioned, “is not only patently false but morally indefensible.”

Send all the Pallies to western Kansas and Nebraska. A bit colder but similar climate.

Presbyterian or not the man is wrong where the Bible is concerned. Jews are safer in the promised land than America, because God has said he will protect them, and Jesus comes back to fight for Israel at the battle of Armagedden.

The Jews in America abandoned Israel when they voted for Obama.

The reason our family’s church left the PCUSA and joined the PCA is because the PCA has retained its belief in traditional Christian doctrine. Also, the PCUSA has been largely taken over by progressive leftist infiltrators. IMHO they are about as Christian as the Muslim Brotherhood.

“The Jews in America abandoned Israel when they voted for Obama.”

I worked for an Israeli company. They are liberals to the left of the average liberal here. Their country started off communist. (Kibbutz’s are communal...communist...associations.) Although most Kibbutz’s have failed and morphed into something different, I think the Israelis are close to their political roots. The ones I know who went back have dual citizenship and were registered Democrats here. Every party I attended turned into a bash Bush fest.

There's a lot more room in Siberia or Canada's Northwest Territories.

To live in darkness is to live in stupidity, and this is as stupid as it gets. Judgment is to begin with the house of God, and just as it scares me to come under God’s judgment, it should scare him at least as much.

Didn’t Stalin fall out with Israel because they (as Socialists at the time) choose the US as an ally? That may answer a lot to how the leftist Jews are. The conservative ones live in real-ville.

No, no, no! Don’t abandon Israel, and don’t come to America. This country is rapidly nazifying. We don’t need socialist Jews, and Jews will end up being targets of the left’s minorities. Besides, Yahweh reserved Israel to himself. False gods like Allah can’t it.

“Didn’t Stalin fall out with Israel because they (as Socialists at the time) choose the US as an ally? “

That’s too fine a graduation for my knowledge of Israeli history. But it is odd the US became their ally, since they are or were communists. Not so odd that Stalin didn’t, given how the Soviet Union treated Jews. I know a Soviet Jew who got out using an organization of Catholics who are supported by the Israelis. The Israelis at the time had no access to the Soviet Union.
