Precisely. I forgot which article was which, but the story is not believable in any respect. Supposedly these government computers are all backed up off-site, with redundancy, regularly by 3rd party contractors all the time. To say that “her personal PST file is corrupted” is nonsense. I do not believe that the IRS does not have internal auditing of computers, backups, and other safeguards. Le alone several mail servers!
Then to say that everyone in the IRS has their own personal PST file, no servers maintaining copies? No offsite backups? Absurd. And as you say, all 6 computers crash at once? Not possible, unless they fried them on purpose.
This is a cover up, a lie, people need to be going to prison for lying under oath, and I guess as well for abuse of power.
Agreed. It is not credible either way, and their story is now contradictory. I am pretty sure they pay tons of money to have contractors build clever systems that makes off-site redundant backups.
Though I know it has become habit for many higher level government employees to use personal email, gmail, yahoo etc exactly so their communications would not be recorded and saved in archives. That will probably be their next excuse “we don’t use our .irs.gov assigned email addresses”.
Can that silly petty post be saved to your PC, and if your PC crashes will that erase it from FR?
Please do share your vast knowledge.
at least now, we know theres at least 6 criminals involved
