Adding more information control, via each state adding a “Constitutional right”, and turning it to a
“permissible act”, is a Communist idea.

Instead of labeling folks, as Democrats AND

Lastly, examine how most gun laws exclude
revolvers.

Not exactly. After 1854 the Know Nothings changed their name to the American Party. The American Party eventually split into two camps, the anti slavery faction becoming part of the newly formed Republican Party and the pro slavery faction joining the Constitutional Union Party.

I've looked for the last hour and cannot find an reliable source for this.

These two were nuttier than a Babe Ruth bar from the get-go, I seriously doubt politics were high on their agenda.

BTW, Guiteau, was a supporter of Republicans in general and Grant and Garfield in particular and so delusional, believed himself to be largely responsible for Garfield's victory.

The only clear thing connecting most of these people they were Bats@#$@ crazy.
