Get me a path to 51 without Kentucky. And also put South Carolina in the Dem column with Lindsay Graham by your same definition.

The fight is over. McConnell is a RINO, but he’s better than the alternative — a hard-core liberal. Then fight within the caucus to make sure he does not ascend to Majority Leader.

Unfortunately, control of the Senate is going to have to include the likes of McConnell, Lindsay and McCain. It is what it is. It’s way better to be able to set the agenda and have the entirety of the House in opposition to Obama. I shudder at two more years of Harry Reid.

Heb 4: 12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Wouldn’t matter at all.

I hope McConnell and Graham lose their seats.

I hate the damn GOP.

The only agenda either party advances is rapid growth of government.

That is all, nothing else.

It makes not a damn bit of difference which party is in charge of anything, it’s all still government, and it is eating us alive.

Its not our Senate seat to turn over. McConnell has never represented us so we have nothing to lose.

"We have nothing to lose" - you know very little about Kentucky politics to make such a statement. If we don't do away with the Lundergan establishment now we will never be rid of it...if Grimes wins not only will Stumbo likely survive, but in addition a young member of the family will have a U.S. Senate seat...which would be an unmitigated disaster. For anyone to suggest this outcome would be beneficial is pure lunacy.

Undeniably true, but not germane.

Grimes is part of an establishment that’s been around longer than McConnell. McConnell is gone in 6 years, this is his last show, and while McConnell may have his “preferred” successor in mind, there is no dynasty...that’s it. With Grimes, the Lundergan establishment is given a new lease on life for a whole new generation, much to the detriment of this Commonwealth...the damage this would do cannot be overstated. The comments being made by others here are being very short-sited...and I recall there being celebrations of Republicans losing before who weren’t deemed “conservative enough” - the result of which has been the passage of policies like Obamacare, etc. that otherwise would never have become law.

Wouldn’t it be lovely if Mitch lost and the GOP won the Senate?

i hope whatever poll this is makes him go back to ky and leave mcdaniel alone

This was one of the factors that doomed Cantor -- being too involved in DC politics to pay any attention to his constituents.

I did not suggest anything. McConnell and his duplicitous “leadership” have been an ongoing unmitigated disaster for a long long time. Whether he wins or loses I hope he spends a hell of a lot of GOP-E money doing it.

Are you seriously wanting to turn a House seat over to the Democrats, just because your guy didn’t get the nomination?
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Come on Jedidah; if you don’t know the difference in a United States Senator and a Congressman in the House of Representatives, your degree of influence in commenting is greatly diminished. Mitch “The Bitch” McConnell holds a Senate seat; not a House seat.

Guess he’ll have to get Democrats out to vote in the Republican primary, like Lindsey Graham did

Uh.... the Kentucky Primary is over. Where have you been?

I guarantee you that many, many, many true Conservatives and Tea Party people will do one of three things re: The Senate race in KY. They will either....

1. Stay home

2. Vote, but leave the Senate race blank on the ballot, or

3. Vote for Grimes.

McConnell is a low-life snake in the grass who wants to destroy Conservatives and Tea Party people. Well, hopefully we draw first blood; even if it means a Democrat gets that seat. Hell yeah!

HE WHO DOES NOT LIKE REVENGE HAS NEVER TASTED IT!!!

we can not afford to lost blathering Mitch’s seat if Republicans want to take back the Senate.
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

BULLSH**. Follow the Senate races and the polls more closely. We will pick up enough seats to take control of the Senate even if the KY seat goes to a Dem.

We’re writing in a candidate in November against McConnell.

I’d rather a Democrat get the seat than a traitor to the cause. At least we will know whose side she’s on.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

If you truly mean that, then go ahead and pull the lever for Grimes. I loathe Mitch McConnell so badly, I’d vote for Grimes if I lived in KY. Hell yeah!

HE WHO DOES NOT LIKE REVENGE HAS NEVER TASTED IT!

The opponent Grimes is no one we want in the US Senate for 6 years. She is not just pro-abortion, she is pro LATE TERM abortion.

It would be a terrible thing to have her there.
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Abortion is the #1 Litmus Test for me in politics. But, when we had the White House, the Senate and the House of Representatives, the Republicans did not end abortions. Sad to say; Abortions now can only be over turned by the Supreme Court. So, Mitch is Pro-Life and she is Pro-Choice...... When this seat comes up again in 6 years, we will still have people killing little babies in the womb. RE-ELECTING THE LOW LIFE, CONSERVATIVE LOATHING, TEA PARTY HATING MITCH “THE BITCH” MCCONNELL WILL NOT STOP ABORTIONS!!!
