4 reasons why Ted Cruz could beat Hillary Clinton in 2016
Examiner ^ | June 13, 2014 | Marv Dumon

The liberal media has been demonizing U.S. senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) ever since the Cuban-American got elected to congress. However, the Tea Party crusader is a formidable opponent for any Democrat presidential nominee, including Hillary Clinton.

Here are four reasons why Ted Cruz could win the White House in the 2016 elections.

1. Great Orator

Like Barack Obama, Cruz is a former lawyer. Go on YouTube and watch the junior senator on the speaking circuit. He's a tremendous orator, and a charismatic speaker who gives his audience plenty of enthusiasm. He also maintains his wits when heckled by protestors and pro-Obama supporters.

During campaign season, the Tea Party reformist will be extremely capable to hold his own when doing interviews with the leftist media.

2. Outstanding Education

Liberals and journalists may question Cruz on stances regarding social and policy issues, but they have to respect his intellectual brilliance. The senator from Texas was a national debating champion in his early 20s. He graduated with distinction from Princeton and Harvard Law.

Cruz's debating skills is evident while on the speaking circuit. He has also represented cases before the U.S. Supreme Court, which means he can't be pushed around by false logic and unreasonable arguments.

3. Principled Views

Barack Obama's views usually "evolve" to accomodate political polling. However, Ted Cruz offers a fresh alternative to flip-flopping by making principled stands. This may appeal to independent voters and moderate Democrats who are sick of D.C. politicians obfuscating the truth.

With Cruz, you get a consistent brand: conservative, low taxes, pro-job growth, small government, strong military, constitutionalist, and Reaganite.

4. American Exceptionalism

Finally, Ted Cruz wholeheartedly believes in American Exceptionalism -- a concept that's alien to Obama, though the latter pays lip service to it. As a well-defined brand, Cruz could energize mainstream voters who are growing tired of government abuses, waste,

"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn’t make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan

"It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." - Samuel Adams

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. The issue with good people like Ted and Sarah would be that the old school will throw 350 million in the primaries to knock them out with ads and in general the press will report people like Ted are crazy and evil over and over and over again.
Cruz or Palin must make their own moments and build their own momentum despite a liberal sphere against them.

I thought Cruz was ineligible.

Nope.

It's an urban myth that Cruz is not a "Natural Born Citizen".

Nothing in the US Constitution, US Law, or US Supreme Court ruling describes or requires NBC as requiring two US Citizen parents at point of birth in order for someone to be NBC.

I love Cruz. If we are going to lose in 16’ I would be happy to lose with him. Don’t think it will happen. If he were to lose we would at least get our point across. I could never understand why loser Romney could not blurt out: “Good luck getting a job.”

You don't mind if we don't curl up in the corner with you and give up all hope while we fight on for a conservative winner to become POTUS do you?

Any POTUS election is pretty straightforward these days.
The Democrat “blue wall” (states that have gone Dem POTUS 6 consecutive times or more) is at 242. It’s very unlikely any of those states will flip. Baraq held the blue wall with 8% unemployment, $4 gas, surging food prices and trillion dollar deficits.

Basically all the Dems need to do above that is Florida or Ohio.
When you figure they can spend essentially their entire campaign budget there, and throw in some successful cheatin’ as we’ve seen in 2012, it’s a formidable challenge.

Next: Did Dole, McLame, and Romney do anything to distinguish themselves as losers?

It was also unlikely when Reagan came along, and yet still, with an intelligent, sincere conservative message, he won two landslide elections even starting back 30%+ to Carter in the polls.

I have four reasons.
1. He’s Ted Cruz and not Hillary Clinton.
2. He’s Ted Cruz and not Hillary Clinton.
3. He’s Ted Cruz and not Hillary Clinton.
4. He’s Ted Cruz and not Hillary Clinton.

4 + dozens more...

I bet Cruz can attract more voters than the MSM and pundits are willing to acknowledge.

Thanks for the ongoing Cruz pings.

I agree.

If Hillary runs she wins but Cruz will put up a much better fight than anyone else the GOP will nominate.

Cruz’s mother was a US citizen at the time of his birth. So that makes him a natural born citizen (nbc).

And personally, at this point, I couldn’t give a rat’s a** if he was, or wasn’t an nbc., an C.

I would vote for him over ANY demoCRAP, especially Clinton.

I’ll add one more:

“It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an IRATE, TIRELESS MINORITY, keen on setting brushfires of FREEDOM in the minds of men.” by Samuel Adams

To me .. this is what the Tea Party movement is all about.
