Before one cent is spent, Congress needs to investigate how and why these tens-of-thousands of young people got to the border.
Most news reports indicate they are NOT from Mexico. So, how did they get through Mexico to the US?
In previous years, the number of unaccompanied young were less than 4,000 per year.
All of the sudden we have somewhere between 60,000 and 90,000 crossing the border. That number is expected to be around 150,000 by the end of the year. Since these ‘kids’ are apparently successful in getting to the US and staying, we might expect an additional 250,000 to be encouraged to come next year.
How did this problem get to be such a problem? No one ever heard of this a month ago.
It sounds as if some shyster work is at hand.
This significance of this list (thanks for posting it) highlights the importance of all of the Senate races this year. With Thad Cochran acting madder than a March Hare, a change in control of the Senate would mean that Senator Shelby from Alabama would become the Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee. That would represent quite a change in the tone and behavior of that committee.
In all fairness we should pay Southwest for the return flight with no passengers.
There was a “Killer Kids” show about a couple that came here illegally from Central America and left their son at home. They are still here and had two more children. Finally they paid to have the son they left behind join them here. He promptly kills his sister, saying that he just didn’t fit in here and it wasn’t fair that she had it better than him.

Let the senate pass it, then let the house gut the bill and replace it with one that appropriates funds to SEND THEM ALL HOME!

In fact, since ALL appropriations must originate in the house of reprehensibles, I would argue that the mere existence of senate 'appropriators' is unconstitutional.

Good start. Meter’s ‘bout run out on the time it will take a generation or so to fix Mexico. Best bet is for their embassy to pack their trash and leave. Same goes for countries in this intentional, coordinated effort and arguably warlike effort to destabilize the United States. And make no mistake,”somebody” planned this, mess like this doesn’t happen. Our returning personnel can wave at their counterparts at the airports.
I have an idea.
How about we adopt these Dream children into good, stable Christian homes.
It looks like many of them will be virtual orphans and adoption would solve several problems including the left's desire to indoctrinate them into leftist thinking.
Can you imagine hundreds of thousands of conservative children growing up and voting?
