Hillary Fails History: Calls Lincoln a 'Senator from Illinois' (VIDEO)
Breitbart ^ | June 11 2014 | John Nolte

Posted on 06/11/2014 12:18:17 PM PDT by PoloSec

President Abraham Lincoln was never a Senator. Ever. From Illinois or anywhere else.

Other than a single, two-year term as an Illinois Congressman, Lincoln held no national elective office other than that of our 16th president. Lincoln did run for the United States Senate in 1858, but lost to Stephen Douglas.

I’m positive that Lincoln was a Senator from one of the 57 states!

The media should close their eyes and pretend Sarah Palin said this, then there would be 24/7 coverage calling her every name in the book..since its Hillary Clinton, they will just say “Oh its just a minor boo boo no biggie”

If a Republican had said that the media will be all over it and how dumb he or she is. It would be breaking news on CNN every five minutes. Wolf would have 100 guests lined up to say how unqualified the person is to be President.

It’s also not entirely fair to think of him as an Illinoisan.

Illinois has certainly claimed him, but he was born and raised in Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana. He never set foot in Illinois until he was in his 20s.

By the same token, neither did Obama. Obama was in his 20s when he moved here too.

We also like to claim US Grant, but he didn’t move to Galena until his late 30s.

In fact, only one president was born and raised in Illinois: the great Ronald Reagan. A true product of the heartland, Reagan didn’t live anywhere but Illinois until his twenties when he got his famous Iowa gig as the voice of the Cubs.

Illinois should really be the “Land of Reagan”, not of Lincoln. But of course the Dems would never stand for it!

Senator Shumer failed some basic history just last week. Now Hillary ‘can’t recall’ the history of Abraham Lincoln. So far that’s Dems zero for two. GOP, you may want to brush up on seventh grade american history. The Dems will be trying hard to even the score.

Hillary must have been thinking of Obama, who often compares himself to Lincoln.

Isn’t Hitlery from Illinois? This would make in particularly bad for her. They had better check her grade school records.

Illinois also gets to claim the famous whack-job, Charles J. Guiteau, who assassinated President James A. Garfield. I believe he was from Freeport, site of the most famous Lincoln-Douglas debate.

Maybe Hillary thinks Lincoln won the (state senate) election to that U.S. Senate seat because it was widely perceived that he won the debate. But as a native Illinoisan, she should know better.

I would bet money that I could beat Hillary or Obama on just about any history test but darn, I would have missed that one myself.

I actually thought he was a senator.

WTF?

Doesn’t surprise me I guess.

She was the only “Fired” from the Warren Commission for being an abject ass and demonstrably stoopit.
