Every dictatorship has a titular head who has an “army” or cadre of Sycophants who do not need explicit instructions to implement the dictates they all believe in.
In the case of Obama he has the Communists in what is called the Democrat party, he has the Communists in the propaganda industry (CNN loosing money and still doubles down on this propaganda), this list is long (Education, courts, militarization of the local police)

I heard Mike Wallace on Friday doing his usual stint on Mike Gallagher’s radio show, Wallace was furious with WH/Obama re the release of the 5 Gitmos/trade for a soldier Wallace called a “deserter”. Gallagher jumped in and said “ you mean a could be deserter”. Wallace corrected him and said “no he IS a deserter.” Wallace also called the WH the “gang that can’t shoot straight”.
Curious.
Juan W kept repeating that the military had not classified Bergdahl as a deserter this morning on the FNS panel. Wallace did not contradict him.

Your grand-daughter is what 8,10,12? She is old enough to learn the proper handling of firearms so your daughter would have one less thing to worry about. There is no need to tie one "event" to the other, grandma enjoys shooting, grand-daughter might to :)
As a added benefit, it might help to reduce the helplessness she is feeling witnessing what she has seen over the past several years, and not being able to do a dam* thing about it.
Every time I read about some youth shooting their best friend accidentally I gripe to my husband that every school grade should have a couple of classes on firearms really explaining how they work, not just "guns are scary". None of them have been taught that there could still be a bullet in the chamber, heck, even adults forget that!
