I told the Republican National Committee to go stick it today (vanity)
me

Posted on 06/04/2014 6:32:11 PM PDT by God luvs America

So my cell phone rings and the number "6" comes up on caller ID. I answer the phone, "hello?"....after a few seconds pause I hear, "is Mr GLA there?" I reply, "that's me" to which i hear "hello- this is Brad from the Republican National Committee"....

I stop him and say, "sorry, I'm not a Republican- i'm a Tea Party Conservative...take my name off your list and stop calling until you people stand with us"....gotta say it felt good!!

I did something similar back in 1998.

Welcome!

Heck, if they would just identify themselves, “Hi, I’m Rick with the RNC. May I speak to Mr. Jones?”

Instead, I pick up the phone which shows `unknown caller’ & say “Hello?” Pause. “Is Robert there?” (Grrr....) “Who is this?” Finally, someone states their business. Then I say, “I’m a conservative, not interested, sorry.” (Click)

When I’m visiting my ninetysomething Mom & answer the phone with my deep voice, there’s a lonnnnng pause before someone finally asks to speak to her, then it’s the “Who’s this?” business all over again.

Sick of it. And here in S.C. the Lindsey Graham calls are starting. I let the answering machine pick up but they leave no message.

We should try to get a bit more specific, or else get written off as kooks.

If I were called, I would say something like: “My money will flow again once you seal off the border, make life uncomfortable for the ones here, and RENOUNCE Amnesty once and for all”.

That way, they’d have something to take to the higher-ups. I’d also stick to just one subject, and Amnesty is the game changer right now as that eliminates us as a political force if it ever gets passed.

I realize that one person won’t have any effect...but many of us just might start to get a message across to those otherwise tone-deaf bastards.

I left the party of eunuchs when Bush the second began his expansion of government against what he promised in his 2000 campaign.

Half of the emails Rove and GOPe send me get a reply with uncensored directions on where they can shove it.

And the minimum wage workers who open the mail, placed yours in the 'contains no money' send to shredder compactor bin. No one reads those things, even those with money go unread. It's only about the money.

i agree- in the past i used to tell them “when you start fighting for me the way i fight for you then i’ll contribute”, but eff them- i completely understand why they are referred to as the stoopid party...

Had a local Charleston Republican party meeting about a decade ago. When they found out I was a Freeper and did some Freeps they asked me to leave. Told me I was too radical for them.

Good Luck: Took me two years to convince them that I am a CONSERVATIVE, not a republican.
Almost wish I hadn’t registered with their party back in 68.

Need a Tea Party —Political Party—Like the UKIP—maybe USIP Need Liberty Party here and now. Until then we have Constutional Party and American Independent Party. Until sarah Palin gives us new direction—that will have to do. We need a new Party NOW—before 2016. RINO-Republicans need not apply.

We TP conservatives are the reason the GOP now controls Congress. They didn’t thank us but rather demonize us instead, So they can forget receiving our funds and we repay them by voting their GOP-e squishes out wherever possible. Old Thad is next.

Can’t believe all of you Freepers actually answer the phone for solicitors: landlines? I used to give a monolog like some of yours about why I am no longer a Republican. But it was usually into the ear of a newbie college kid who was doing volunteer work for the party. So I gave up on trying to make a point. Reince and the boys care about ONE thing: money. And there are still going to be big donors who keep the party going, making us peons who gave $100/year irrelevant.
I too give directly to the candidates..but am much more careful now to try to do research first on whether they A. have some chance of winning and B. are truly Conservative.

I received a money solicitation from the RNC. I wrote back on it that I will never donate to them as long as they continue to allow Obama to destroy my country and keep sprouting such awful candidates like McCain, Romney and Boehner. I also told them that I will not support a group that vilifies conservative Americans such as myself. I left them my phone number in case they want to hear me say it. I am sure I won’t be hearing from them.

You’ll note I said EMAIL.

Anyone like this who is dumb enough to send me a Prepaid Envelope gets a ‘contribution’ of about 20 pennies and packing tape. Somebody gets to spend the rest of their shift accounting for it.
