Brad Paisley didn’t just spend his Memorial Day weekend cooking hot dogs at a neighborhood barbecue. The country superstar instead traveled halfway around the world to perform for U.S. troops.

And he made the journey on Air Force One accompanying President Obama and some of his advisers.

Some of us thought Brad "woke up" when he made fun of Obamacare on the Country Music Awards. He and Carrie Underwood mocked the Death Panel Law fairly mercilessly.

Paisley played one of the inaugural balls in 2013....and now, he reverts back to form--being a tool for the Marxist Obama.

Mr. Paisley should run with a better crowd. Guess I don’t need to listen to his music anymore.

Folks, I think it should be pointed out he went there to perform for our troops.  I don't see that as a bad thing at all.

I’ll bet the guys enjoyed Paisley’s show. I’m no fan of his traveling companion but I think its great that Paisley went to perform for the guys.

Some folks just let their hatred of O cloud their judgment. I think Paisley going was a good thing. Now, that might be an attempt at putting lipstick on a pig, but thats not the lipsticks fault.

Then he should spend his own dime to get there.

He is being used as a tool for Obama. He is either stupid or has no problem being linked up with the left.

I agree that performing for the troops is always a good thing but travelling with 0 is an endorsement IMO.

Paisley is one of the new generation of liberal country singers like Tim McGraw, Faith Hill and Keith Urban who are all Obama lovers. Screw 'em.

I'll stick with George Strait, Merle Haggard and Alan Jackson. Plus, we are blessed to have the recordings of Hank Snow, Johnny Cash, Buck Owens, George Jones, Ferlin Husky, etc. to listen to. Who needs the post-modern Nashville sound which is just rehashed rock and roll with a little bit of twang?

I applaud his traveling and performing for our troops.

Problem is, he's the main attraction -- his presence is primarily to bring crowds in for Obummer to claim. He's being used, and he apparently is okay with that. That's a shame.

Nevertheless, your point is valid.

And your opinion may be right. I don’t see it that way.

In this instance I see Paisley serving the office rather than this president. Paisley traveled to perform for the troops. He did so from the vantage point of being a guest of the presidency. Does that cause the troops to feel more, or perhaps less honored? I don’t honestly know?

I believe they appreciated the performance. I doubt they thought kind thoughts about bath-house Barry, but who knows.

If they couldn’t find 3,000 troops that wanted to come, they’d order them to. I’m not sure Paisley brought them in.

I have mixed thoughts on this too. Obama is a disgrace. There’s no question what a bad president this guy has been.

Is it still an honor to have the man who hold the office, there to address the troops? For the active troops, perhaps so. I’d like to think not, but even an idiot in the office (and that’s what we have there) still represents the presidency and the nation for them.

Was he using them? My take on it is yes. He doesn’t respect them. They’re fighting against his allies. I truly believe that too.
