Fox News ^ | 05/20/14 | Foxnews.com

At present, every poll has McConnell’s race against Alison Lundergan Grimes, Kentucky’s secretary of state, as a dead heat with Election Day just six months away.

Grimes also easily won her Tuesday primary.

Her race with McConnell also is expected to be the most expensive congressional race this election cycle, as Republicans try to win a net six seats to take control of the upper chamber. If that happened, McConnell would replace Nevada's Democratic Sen. Harry Reid as the Senate majority leader.

Elections don’t always work out as they should!

But never give up.

As what George Washington and his Revolutionary Army believed in, that they were determined to see it through.

When Soros has an ownership interest in the electronic voting machine manufacturer this shouldn’t surprise anyone. They have just about gotten rid of paper voting everywhere now so the only place where the count is kept is in digital format along with the digital voting evidence. How does that make you feel now?

And in doing so, he trashed and “crushed” the same voters he will
need to beat Grimes. Good luck with that. Especially since he won his
last election by only 6%.

Bummer, but I think they see the movement and maybe it makes them a little nervous.

Bevin sunk his own campaign with that stupid cockfighting incident. Add another one to the list of candidates who have the right positions but make stupid, bonehead mistakes on the campaign trail (e.g., Mourdock, Akin, O'Donnell, Angle, ...). It's not enough to be right in politics, you also have to be smart and not make stupid mistakes, because the media will tear a conservative to shreds with it.

Well, at my age, I do give up but hope that the upcoming generation learns better and are better leaders.

Waiting for the awakening.

In other words, you're advocating for Republicans to tread lightly and give in to the leftist media narrative about them.

I agree, be honest, have no problems in your past, and be truthful when running for office. Damn, that would eliminate about 95% of candidates! What does that tell us - maybe that the wrong candidates are running for office?

When we finally get down to farmers and machinists running then we can get down to facts. We have long given in to those who are running for political office as if they are decent folks instead of questioning them and looking into their past...geez. When we will we ever learn, if you expect the media to do that then you are as ignorant as they are.

The TeaParty needs to do more in vetting and supporting GOP opponents to RINOS than merely picking/supporting any GOPer who is opposing a sitting RINO. Being against a RINO is not enough to win on. There has to be more substance there.

when Mitch the *itch (Himself-GOP/E); "declared War" on Conservatism/TEA-LUA Party.
i don't know of any Conservatives who shall support him now, he's "burnt his bridges"
to US/KY. He's no different than corrupt "Rustler" Reid..very similar to Dick Lugar.

Kentucky voters deserve Grimer for senate at this point. Fools.

Bobby Jindal was right. The stupid party accurately describes not only the establishment, but most primary voters too.

McConnell is Dick Lugar. The problem is, he has more power to screw conservatives at every turn. The man is poison.

Not sure, but I would not be surprised if McConnell loses us this seat.
