While Tuesday's Washington Post covered ESPN's elaborate planning to broadcast "a kiss that rocked the sports world" -- after openly gay Michael Sam was drafted, and they don't mean the later cake-shoving kiss that seemed a little scarier given Sam's size -- the debate over the kiss submerged the flagrant liberal editorializing that ESPN aired a few minutes before the Rams selected Sam with the 249th pick.
ESPN reporter Chris Connelly (formerly with MTV) uncorked pre-emptive anger, that if Sam went undrafted, the verdict of "history" (read: liberals) "will be derisive laughter, aimed at a league thus deemed by many to be unworthy of its place in contemporary society." Connelly attacked "tired old" prejudice and praised Sam for "weeding out the hopelessly hidebound" teams of the NFL.
Well, it was obvious Sam was selected because he’s gay, not because he has any talent. Just think of all the other, better players who didn’t make it so this loser could be drafted.
The “S” in ESPN stands for “sodomite” now.

Does everyone realize that drafted players don’t necessarily make the team coming out of training camp?
The activists pushing for a homosexual player are all happy right now, but, let’s see how camp goes. Suppose the Rams cut him before the season. It is not unusual for a last round drafted player to not make the team.
So, then, will the Rams be homophobic and all that, if Sam doesn’t make the team coming out of training camp? That will be the next event to watch by the politically correct crowd.
Sam is smart or has some smart advisors.
He’s gone from an unknown player who at best was probably a UFA to a household name with Visa endorsement deal and currently the #2 selling NFL rookie jersey.
Well, the NFL is worthy of contemporary society. It’s not worthy of my God though. I try not to afflict my spirit with trash like the NFL.
I had read rumors that the Rams were told they better sign Sam otherwise there would be hell to pay..he isn’t even talented, heck I probably have more football talent than he does, but he was chosen just because he is a fag and that is the ONLY reason

I used to watch sportcenter a lot. But then it got all goofy with the Stuart Scott speak, and they covered all kinds of crap I didn’t care about.
I started watching Mike & Mike in the mornings. Safe, simple, sports based, with no gotcha interviews.
Now, Mike & Mike is adhering to the agenda. If it’s gay, or racial in nature, they are going to talk about it until you want to throw up.
I watch Golf Central. I know, it’s owned by NBC, but when I tune in, it’s about golf 90% of the time.
To hell with ESPN.
The NFL already has every other kind of lowlife. There are certainly queers playing in it now.
Before joining ESPN, Connelly worked for Rolling Stone Magazine, as a music critic. During the 1980s he also served as Special Music Correspondent for Good Morning America, which involved interviewing the music stars of the day. Next Connelly spent thirteen years at MTV (1988–2001). He hosted the pre-shows for the MTV Movie Awards and prior to that, The Big Picture, a weekly show with features and movie reviews. He was also an editor and reporter for Premiere magazine, eventually becoming Editor in Chief. After six months however, Connelly resigned in a dispute over journalistic integrity after the owner of the magazine reportedly asked that he quash a story that unfavorably portrayed a business associate.
Yeah, if he was not drafted, the world would say in the future “Michael who?”.

It is fitting that ESPN is almost a contraction of “Espanol”; the desperation with which they are trying to get Hispanics to eat up American football is pathetic. Whatever people think of soccer, I still have more respect for people that refuse to be bombarded with commercials; Hispanics will never settle for American football.
