The pro-gay rights rulings of Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy have been a key spark in the march toward legalized gay marriage. To counter the trend, same-sex marriage opponents now are seizing upon other opinions by Kennedy.
It was Kennedy who last month defended the right of voters to decide sensitive issues, in a ruling that upheld Michigan's ban on taking race into account in college admissions.
At least five states have invoked Kennedy's opinion in the Michigan case to argue that voters and elected officials, not judges, should choose whether same-sex couples can be married or have their marriages recognized within their borders.
"This case is not about how the debate about same-sex marriage should be resolved. It is about who may resolve it," Tennessee's governor and attorney general said in an appellate brief filed Thursday, using language lifted almost word for word from Kennedy's Michigan opinion

Once these judges began legislating from the bench they doomed themselves to this sort of controversy. The law is a cruel master...especially for judges.
A judge in Arkansas just did exactly that. He overruled a law that was passed years ago banning gay marriage.
Most everyone knows someone who’s kids are over 30 and don’t have insurance. All the parents have to do is marry their kids and put them on their employer provided insurance. Or, the other way around. I mean, being gay is not about sex. It’s about love. /s

Yes, activist judges are a part of the problem.
However, the consequence of parents not making sure that their children are being taught how the Constitution works, enumerated rights and state powers in particular, is the following. Patriots are unprepared to argue specific constitutional clauses to stop activist judges in their tracks.
Because some people in government are now hostile to marriage as God defined it, in order to protect godly marriage we must remove the power of the State to define and regulate marriage. Then anyone will be perfectly free to enter into whatever relationship they want. However, they will not be able to call upon the police power of the state to force me to recognize a “marriage” that I know is theologically illegitimate and morally repugnant.
If we remove government from marriage and return it to the private sphere where it came from, lesbians can still marry each other, but they won’t be able to use government to force me to sell them wedding cake or artfully photograph their “marriage”. They will be free to do as they please without being able to coerce anyone else about their private affair.
But this was never really about marriage. For homosexuals it was social engineering and payback. They could bust marriage as God defined it, they could rub Christianity’s nose in it, they could punish people who objected and they could force anyone who was too vocal to shut up. But what they really want is approval, and it just galls them that a lot of people will never give it to them.
It is beyond my comprehension how lawyers in black robes with seriously disordered minds, can claim that men and women are interchangeable. Same sex marriage is NOT a civil rights issue. Men and women have equal rights but are NOT interchangeable!

Or that much of the “approval” they receive is solely because people fear negative pushback against their lives and livelihoods for not doing so, not because they would ever get approval freely.
Any person with a functioning brain knows that anal sex is abnormal. The anus is for exit, not entry. It is not a sex organ. Homosexuals know this, but still engage in this filthy practice, which is full of all types of diseases and will surely lead to an early grave. Any heterosexual certainly knows this and if they have good sense will never practice this unclean, perverted, immoral sex act with someone else, be it man or woman. Lesbians have much the same problem as homosexual men. They desparately want to have sex like normal individuals, but most have an innate hatred of men so they will not have sex with one, but will go to the local sex store and buy strap-on sex organs so another woman can pretend to be a man and engage in “sexual intercourse” with her. Both homosexual men and lesbians know their sexual activities are wrong, but want to pretend it’s perfectly normal and they want that acceptance from everyone, something they will never get. They will never get it because like I said above, any sane person knows sexual intercourse is intended for man and woman to engage in, not members of the same sex. Liberals also know this. Hell, everyone knows the truth, but we are expected to pretend it’s perfectly normal behavior and homosexuals and lesbians should be allowed to get “married” and pretend that nothing is wrong with them. It has never been condoned in history of humanity, especially homosexual “marriage”. That’s because people are not stupid. And I didn’t even have to mention what God thinks of homosexual behavior.
