IMPORTANT GOP House Primary Races: And How You Can Help (Northeast and South)

Posted on 05/09/2014 12:57:12 PM PDT by campaignPete R-CT

NORTHEAST and SOUTH

There are numerous important House Primary Races! And places where we can WIN! PLEASE contribute! And if you can't contribute money ... the least we can do is go to their pages and give them a "like" or a tweet. All of these candidates are involved in primaries that are close (or could be close) against generally more moderate or liberal Republicans. All of these districts are winnable in November.

Maine:
BRUCE POLIQUIN, MAINE-2, JUNE 10th .... Open Seat

Endorsed by: Maine Right to Life, Freedom Works

Bruce Poliquin -- FACEBOOK -- TWITTER -- DONATE

FreedomWorks: "As a successful businessman with more than 30 years in the financial industry, Poliquin understands the economic problems facing America. As the State Treasurer of Maine, Poliquin saved his state 1.7 billion dollars. He believes the best way to create jobs is to substantially lower taxes and regulations. Poliquin has demonstrated the experience to lower government spending, and represents the best choice for Maine voters who believe in fiscal conservatism." Poliquin is the underdog in his race against GOP opponent Raye who has long been backed by the usual Snowe-Collins "pro-choice" crowd. Read here.

New York:
ELISE STEFANIK, NEW YORK-21, JUNE 24th ... Open Seat

Endorsed by: Susan B Anthony List, Conservative Party of NY, NY State Right to Life, Doug Hoffman

Elise Stefanik -- FACEBOOK -- TWITTER -- DONATE

29-year old Elise is probably a slight favorite to beat '10 & '12 candidate Doheny. This is the famous Doug Hoffman vs. Dede Scazzafava district.

New York:
CLAUDIA TENNEY, NEW YORK-22, JUNE 24th ... Challenging incumbent

Endorsed by: Susan B Anthony List, Conservative Party of NY

Claudia Tenney -- FACEBOOK -- TWITTER -- DONATE

Hanna is the 3rd most liberal Republican in Congress, a Planned Parenthood favorite. Tenney is taking him on next month in this upstate district!

New Hampshire:
FRANK GUINTA, NEW HAMPSHIRE-1, September 9th ... would face incumbent DEM Shea-Porter in NOV.

Endorsed by: Pam Smith, Conservative Activist, Manchester, Bob Bird, Conservative Activist, Wolfeboro, etc.

Frank Guinta -- FACEBOOK -- TWITTER -- DONATE

Pro-lifer Guinta is favored to beat Republican Dan Innis, who is backed by the The Gay and Lesbian Victory Fund.

Alabama:
CHAD MATHIS, ALABAMA-6, June 3rd ... 2 CONSERVATIVES trying to get into the run-off in this OPEN SEAT.

Endorsed by: Club for Growth, Sen. Mike Lee, Gun Owners of America, FreedomWorks

GARY PALMER, ALABAMA-6, June 3rd ... 2 CONSERVATIVES trying to get into the run-off in this OPEN SEAT.
Endorsed by: Gary Bauer, Ralph Reed, Tony Perkins

Dr. Chad Mathis

Chad Mathis -- FACEBOOK -- TWITTER -- DONATE

Gary Palmer

Gary Palmer -- FACEBOOK -- TWITTER -- DONATE

Conservatives Palmer and Mathis need to get into the run-off in this crowded primary. I think you will find that their opponents Brooke and DeMarco are not conservative enough for FreeRepublic, Alabama-style.

This will be updated periodically. The rest of country ... threads will be posted within a few days and a link will be placed below in this thread.

Again, the criteria: the candidate must have a legit shot in NOV in their district and they are also in a tough primary fight against a candidate with lesser conservative appeal (or even a liberal).

Donate today. If broke, send $14 for victory in '14.

You can make phone calls if you are out of state. Get a Wal-Mart Verizon pre-pay phone for $15 and put the right area code on it.

LA-6 gets added later. First ballot is in NOV, so technically there is no primary.

In Louisiana if no candidate gets a majority of the vote in November there is another election in December. The winner takes office in January.

I'm ready to add another candidate. In the multi-candidate GA-11 race, Barry Loudermilk is building a strong campaign and looks like he has a shot to get into the run-off. There is another pro-life grassroots conservative to consider, Tricia Pridemore. To me, Loudermilk looks like he has a better shot on May 20.

He is endorsed by
Family Research Council
Concerned Women of America
Freedom Works
Senate Conservatives Fund

Loudermilk is here.

Pridemore is here.

Hey Pete, what’s up?

You’re forgetting Marilinda Garcia in NH02!!!

Catherine Ping is going to need everyone’s help in IN-7 against Crypto-muzzie Andre’ Carson.

All 4 local TV stations, and the Indianapolis Star, did not even show, OR MENTION, the R primary race, or the winner. It is like it never happened.

I had to go to the Sec of State’s website to get the vote totals on election night.

Local media is too frightened of what might happen should they give a Carson challenger any acknowledgement, at all. It could mean their jobs, or worse.

Marilinda did not make the list because we figured there was no big Freeper urgency to “STOP LAMBERT”.

But if you have evidence of Lambert developing RINO features ... she can get on when we update later in the month.

Well, we don’t have IN-7 here because our ruthless attitude has that district as not-targeted. And we are doing primaries ... but we got a few in the Midwest coming right up.

I can tell you why IN-7 wasn’t mentioned, as Miss Ping is a desultory opponent who last reported having $0 in the bank against Carson. You can’t win with squat.

“I can tell you why IN-7 wasn’t mentioned, as Miss Ping is a desultory opponent who last reported having $0 in the bank against Carson. You can’t win with squat.”

And no one else running had much more than that.

Running a traditional campaign against Carson isn’t going to work.

He has something like $1.2Mil in the bank. and by snapping his fingers, can call on SEIU and the shadow orgs to throw another mil at him by the end of the day. The local media doesn’t DARE say a word against him, less they become unemployed.

This is going to require guerrilla campaigning. (ever heard of “Guerrilla Marketing”?). And if there was ever a year you could pull it off, it is this one.

The last time this seat was won was in 1972 (and that by William Hudnut when it was the 11th). There have been some valiant attempts: notably by Black Republican Marvin Bailey Scott in 1994 (when he had little money and no party support, and it scared Andy Jacobs out of running again) and Julia Carson was never popular, with her opponents routinely scoring in the mid 40%s range. Her worst performance was her last race in 2006 when 5,000 votes would’ve swung the election to another Black Republican, Eric Dickerson.

Unfortunately, aside from his first run in the 2008 Special, Andre’s opponents have only scored 35, 38 & 37% respectively (with the aforementioned Marvin Scott scoring that 38% in 2010). Ping may be lucky to get to the low 30s, perhaps a smidge higher, solely on the bloc of voters that find Andre an offensive politician and would vote for a walrus running on the GOP ticket. A well-funded, higher profile nominee might break 40%+, but it would take a miracle otherwise.

The IN GOP drew the lines to ensure a commanding 7R-2D advantage, and that, alas, is the price for the bulk of Indianapolis’s residents (and the NW corner of the state near Chicago).

Interesting race. A strong pro-lifer winning a Maine House seat would be a pleasant surprise, and the best part is that Poliquin sounds favored to win in November. The “only RINOs can WIN in a district like that!!!” crowd will thus ignore the race in November.

>> ELISE STEFANIK, NEW YORK-21, JUNE 24th ... Has “Bold Reagan Conservative” Newt Gingrich done his part and endorsed the RINO running for the seat yet? ;-)

I'm sure the usual “time for him to go/not a fighter/no incumbent deserves a pass” crowd will be ACTIVELY involved in opposing Hanna, given how much they foam at the mouth trying to get rid of people who do what we want 95% of the time. Right Mark Levin? RedState.com? Tea Party Express? Yoo woo? Anyone home? ::crickets chirp::

>> New Hampshire: FRANK GUINTA, NEW HAMPSHIRE-1, September 9th ... would face incumbent DEM Shea-Porter in NOV. Guinta held this seat before, so I'm glad the RINO running will likely be crushed in the primary. Plus its 2014 so Guinta will almost certainly win his seat back in November.

>> Alabama: CHAD MATHIS, ALABAMA-6, June 3rd ... 2 CONSERVATIVES trying to get into the run-off in this OPEN SEAT. Endorsed by: Club for Growth, Sen. Looks like a win-win scenario if the run-off consists of Chad Mathis and Gary Palmer. Of course, I wouldn't put it past some conservatives to start screaming “RINO!!” at the other camp anyway. >>

Agree that Londermilk probably has the best chance of making the runoff, and deserves our support. We have to stop Boob Barf after he lost his mind and tried to reinvent himself as a Justin Amash type Paulbot. Who knows what Barr stands for now? (I'm also for keeping his former running mate, Wayne Allyn Root, out of GOP politics. The guy used some “I'm distantly associated with Obama, therefore my candidacy will embarrass him even though I never met him” card, which Milton Wolf has also now attempted)

“..And if you can’t contribute money ... the least we can do is go to their pages and give them a “like” or a tweet. “

And a Follow and write a letter to the editor to get their names out, and include their websites so those who can afford it can give them money.

Most of us can give a little money. No amount is too small, as it all adds up.

New Hampshire TV station WMUR asked the two how they felt about raising the minimum wage. Lambert gave it a squishy “maybe”, Garcia an unequivocal “No”.

Unfortunately, too many voters get sucked in by the Democrats’ race-baiting and gender-baiting, so we need more young, artsy, hard-core conservative women and minorities to take principled stands. I like hearing Garcia explain why raising the minimum wage makes no sense - no one will accuse her of being sexist or anti-minority.

I’ve asked her campaign to expand on her views on immigration - I’m expecting her to make a principled stand on this issue as well.

I have nothing against Lambert, but we don’t need more middle aged military white guys as the face of the Republican Party. We’re already well represented, too well in fact.

Same reason why I’m supporting TW Shannon. We need black conservatives to make the case to the black community why conservatism is good, and why liberalism just keeps screwing them from generation to generation.

We’re going to need an army of women to beat up on Hilary in 2016 if Trey Gowdy doesn’t take her down right here.
