Retiring Reps. Mike Rogers (R-Mich.) and Dave Camp (R-Mich.) may back Rep. Justin Amash's (R-Mich.) primary opponent, and none of the rest of the Michigan delegation is supporting Amash, according to the Detroit News.

Rogers, a longtime Amash foe, told the paper that he's "likely" to support businessman Brian Ellis, while Camp said he was also open to backing Ellis in the race.

Wow, Findley was an a**hole. I forgot all about him, he makes the late Chuck Percy seem like a friend of Israel. That scumbag versus Durbin, gross. That’s was an Edwin Edwards/David Duke election, meaning I’d have cast a blank ballot smeared with dog doo.

I can’t remember if it was Findley’s son or Tom Railsback’s son that my mom said went to her college, it was in Railsback’s district.

Well the thing is the term “Tea Party” has been co-opted by people ranging from almost every Paulbot under the sun, to out and out liberal scum like that creep McAllister in Louisiana, to random millionaires who never showed any interest in politics until they decided to run or who donated mostly to democrats in the past, to GOP establishment Princess Liz Cheney. So it’s almost meaningless.

You just have to look deeper to see what candidates really are. Words are cheap. Every Republican says “I love Reagan”, so it’s meaningless.

As for self-identifying, I’ll think I’ll stick with plain old conservative Republican.

Bevin is dishonest and probably a Paulbot and a very weak candidate who would probably lose to Grimes (he may lead her now but she hasn’t attacked him yet). Doesn’t matter because all polls show McConnell creaming him, and he will cream him. Gotta do MUCH better than Bevin if you expect to beat the likes of McConnell.

A lot of these so called “tea party” candidates are just plain not good. With candidates like that, the die is already cast.

Just talking about challengers to sub-par incumbent GOP Senators, the only good ones are McDaniel in MS, who I think will win, and Joe Carr in TN, who has a very steep uphill climb, I don’t think he’ll win.

Looks like L. Graham will probably avoid a runoff, even if he doesn’t I don’t think Lee Bright can beat him, not a good candidate.

Stockman was a joke in Texas.

The guy in Kansas, Cousin Milt, is a joke, and Roberts is a solid conservative who doesn’t need to be replaced, yet people won’t shut up about how we need to elect cousin Milt. Madness.

Tea Party backed Sasse is looking good in Nebraska (open seat), not that I think anything is wrong with the other guy, Osborn. That one could go either way, there’s also a third candidate, Dinsdale, don’t know anything about him.

TW Shannon is looking good in OK.

Brannon V. Tillis was ridiculously portrayed around here, I’m glad Tillis won.

Colonel Manses in LA is a waste of time, there’s no way he overtakes Cassidy, who there is nothing wrong with anyway.

Moving on to House races, the self proclaimed “tea party” guy who just won the special primary in Florida is a political non-enity who gave money to democrats and is supported by RINOs like Connie Mack IV, so epic FAIL. I liked the Palin backed candidate, Lizbeth Benacquisto.

Well of course, because they prefer Brogdon. Anyone who opposes their choice is naturally a dastardly RINO of the first order!

Lankford isn't a RINO either as many have called him, though Shannon is to his right.
