Ted Cruz Wants Answers to These 4 Questions on Benghazi
Heritage "The Foundry" ^ | May 6, 2014 at 9:30 am | Rob Bluey

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, is frustrated by the Obama administration’s “stonewalling” on the Benghazi investigation – and he wants answers about the 2012 terrorist attack.

Speaking to Fox News’ Neil Cavuto yesterday, Cruz said: “We have four dead Americans. We have the first dead U.S. Ambassador killed in service since 1979. In the 19 months that have followed, we don’t have a single dead terrorist or a single terrorist apprehended, and what we have seen from the president and Senate Democrats has been stonewalling.”

Here are the four questions Cruz wants the Obama administration to answer:

  1. Why did the State Department repeatedly refuse to provide additional security as was requested by personnel on the ground?
  2. Why did the United States not have military assets in place to protect American men and women on Sept. 11, 2012, when there was increased terrorist activity in the region?
  3. During the Benghazi attack, why didn’t the United States send in forces to protect the four men who lost their lives?
  4. In the 19 months that have followed, why has no one been apprehended, and no one been brought to justice?

Last year, Cruz introduced a Senate resolution calling for a joint select committee to investigate the Benghazi attacks. The House of Representatives is moving forward with its own select committee, which will be led by Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C.

>>> Q&A: Does a Benghazi Select Committee Matter?

“The truth shouldn’t be partisan,” Cruz said. “Finding out what happened, finding out how we could have prevented it, and acting to actually apprehend these guys, should not be partisan.”

This story was produced by The Foundry’s news team. Nothing here should be construed as necessarily reflecting the views of The Heritage Foundation.

Any reporter would ask, “Who,what, when, where and how?” That’s what is required.

I keep liberals saying “It’s old news, we should just get over it and move on”. Yeah, they wish. Some of us happen to think that an attack which left 4 Americans dead deserves some investigation, however.

“Who,what,when,where and how?”

There’s the fifth set of questions that needs to be asked:

“Who was Obama with, what was he doing, where was he and when, and why was he doing it?”, on the night of the attacks.

There’s the fifth set of questions that needs to be asked:

And a sixth question:

Why was Ambassador Stevens in Benghazi, and how did the terrorists know he was there?

If this question is answered, everything will unravel from there. I honestly believe that's what the Obama administration is really trying to conceal.

‘The truth should not be partisan’ is a good response to the onslaught to follow. It is growing, the lib whine, as the years go by, and this will be no less loud than ‘Bush stole the Election’.

Trey Gowdy will likely be a good leader and role model for responses, as well.

The Bush ‘let’s be polite’ is ineffective, however, probably no less effective than anything else we’re going to be able to do.

Libs are 4 year olds in adult bodies.

those 4 are a good start, but there are at least another dozen or so questions that need to find answers.

Sometimes the truth is too much to take.
The president of our once-great country refused to lift a finger to send help while our ambassador and other Americans were being assaulted.
Even worse than that, but I can’t find the words.

Have the survivors of the attack ever testified?
Aren’t there people that were there forced to sign non disclosure papers?
Where are they?
If Obama truly didn’t know what actually happened until days after, why hasn’t anyone been fired for incompetence?
If he did know and went to a fundraiser anyway he’s a cold hearted bast___ with no love nor respect for those who died.

And Why did the Brits have the good sense to abandon the neighborhood after multiple attacks but we stayed withOUT fortifying/hardening the consulate/rented building?

Pearl Harbor is also “old news” but they don’t have any trouble talking about that, do they? Slavery is old news, yet that’s still a topic. Civil rights movement..Dude, that was so 50 years ago.....

yes, and it wasnt just 4 American lives at risk. There were over 40 Americans who were in danger.

Quite simply, any normal government would search the ends of the earth to track down and bring to justice anyone who murdered an ambassador.
