Is it okay to not care that Cliven Bundy is a bigot?
The Daily Caller ^ | April 24, 2014 | Jim Treacher

Posted on 04/25/2014 1:48:55 AM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

I haven’t been following the Cliven Bundy case because, believe it or not, southwestern grazing disputes have never been among my interests. I know the Daily Caller has done stories about him because I’ve seen the headlines, but I haven’t followed the whole thing. I haven’t written a word about him before today. I don’t care.

But now that this Bundy fellow has publicly said things that have offended a lot of black people, suddenly, he represents everybody to the right of Karl Marx. Suddenly I’m obliged to have an opinion about him.

If you want to know what I think about some rancher in Nevada, I tend to agree with the always delightful and perceptive Kira Davis. Be warned: I’m told she isn’t a proper African-American because she’s a conservative. Be that as it may, here she’s 100% correct.

(VIDEO-AT-LINK)

What Kira said.

I don’t know if Bundy’s grazing dispute has any merit. And I certainly wouldn’t subscribe to his newsletter. All I know is that he’s the latest private citizen to stand up to the government and be excoriated by the media for it. Like Kira said, it’s not about one guy. It’s about the media abusing their power to stifle dissent against government control. Just ask anybody who’s been raked over the coals for daring to complain about their health insurance. Ask Joe the Plumber. Ask Ben Carson. Ask Carrie Prejean. Ask anybody who inconveniences the left.

The message is simple: Submit, or this will happen to you too. And it’ll continue, whether or not some rancher you’ve never heard of is a dumb bigot....

The MSM's are more racist that Bundy every day.
They jumped all over themselves, even Hannity, without trying to parse what he actually said.
He is being punished for being white and honest, and not sticking to the PC formula.

Here are the MSM rules for white folks with whom they disagree:
He used the word "Black"? OMG!
It does not matter what he said or what he meant. He must be a bigot.
No White man must speak about Blacks. Not even a statement in support of the black community.
Negative comments are derogatory and bigoted even if true.
Positive comments are condescending and bigoted, even when true.
So, rip him apart.

Pat Dollar has the full Bundy clip
http://patdollard.com/2014/04/shock-hoax-exposed-full-clip-of-cliven-bundys-non-racist-pro-black-anti-government-remarks-vs-media-matters-deceptively-edited-hoax-version-see-that-cliven-bundy-is-actually-an-advocat/

Bundy laments the corrosive Federal impact on Black families, talks about their long faces and crappy lives. Bundy pities the Black plight as worse than slavery. Bundy contrasts the Black family with Spanish families, how the Spanish are living happier and fullfilling lives.
Bundy uses these stories to underscore his conclusion that the Federal Government is the root cause of society ills.

Also saw a clip of whistleblower Tice, who feels vindicated by Snowden’s revealations. Tice was silenced by reports that he was crazy, and anyone running his story was also crazy.

Why am I conflating the two stories?

So that Freepers, take great care when watching clips and reading stories. You may only receive a small slice of the story, a story that communicates a lie.
Watch for the race card, or the mental card!

In conclusion, the demented David Gregory story, and the “Psychological Consultant” story. Was that a warning shot to all Journalists and Whistleblowers?

“The main stream propaganda machine is powerful...!”

Yes it is.
All the more reason that Bundy should have stayed on topic, that being his land. But, he wanted to play talk show host and got in over his head in about one nano second. “Stupid is as stupid does”. Over, and over again and again. And so it goes......

The entire Bundy comment was not stupid. The stupidity was thinking the New York Times, or any MSM outlet, would report the story truthfully.

At work, we are reminded, continually, to not provide comment to Journalists. Do not even say you have no information. Send EVERY inquiry to the PR/Communications office. Just give them the Department name & phone number, then hangup

The better question is" "Is it OK to be so stupid as to believe that Bundy's comments are racist?"

And: "Is it a sign that we have lost when supposed Conservatives back down from a simple Truth because they fear being branded as racists by the actual racists?"

Anyone with a lick of sense knows that Bundy's comments/questions speak to Truth and our side is too cowardly to call out the real race-baiters out of fear. This does not bode well for those of us who have any shred of hope of regaining our Republic and Constitution - too cowardly to fight = to weak to win.

Racist comment? Or realizing what welfare does to the family structure and the ability to be all you can be. Let’s face it this is just what the socialist/commie media wanted, as espoused by Saul Alinsky to destroy the gov’t’s enemy.
Disparaging Mr. Bundy will now give the gov’t. cover to go after him.

not the Liberty Lincoln had envisioned for the slave.

The sad and stupid thing about this whole uproar is that Bundy chose to refer to 1860 instead of 1960 and beyond. The black race made amazing progress - through many dangers, toils and snares.

Then came the War on Poverty.

If ever there were an object in the Law of Unintended Consequences, there it is.

I do believe that, just as with Phil Robertson, the media has to protect their government buddies from any possible threat from private citizens who stand up for their own rights. I knew something like the Bundy hates black people story would be developed just like the Robertson hates gays story.

Media has to find personal opinions taken out of context to be used as weapons against those thy feel are dangerous to the current regime.

Can’t have the unwashed masses actually believing that they have a right to free speech, freedom of religion, or the right to self-protection.

Bundy did not make a racist statement, he asked a series of culturist questions. He was questioning the subculture of black urban America that is incapable of normal life.

The reaction clearly shows there can be no comment or criticism of the seriously degraded Amish subcultures that are polluting the cities of America.

The calamitous breakdown of the black family is a comparatively recent phenomenon, coinciding precisely with the rise of the welfare state. Throughout the epoch of slavery and into the early decades of the twentieth century, most black children grew up in two-parent households.
Post-Civil War studies revealed that most black couples in their forties had been together for at least twenty years. In southern urban areas around 1880, nearly three-fourths of black households were husband-or father-present; in southern rural settings, the figure approached 86%. As of 1940, the illegitimacy rate among blacks nationwide was approximately 15%—scarcely one-fifth of the current figure.
As late as 1950, black women were more likely to be married than white women, and only 9% of black families with children were headed by a single parent.

Yeah another stupid way the marxist media distracts and distorts from the real issue at hand:

Individual Property Rights and a Bloated Out-of-Control Brownshirt Gov’t.

Number one, I don’t think he is a ‘bigot’ and number two as long as we have the likes of Al Sharpton, Eric Holder, Rev Wright and all kinds of anti white race groups no it doesn’t matter.

I agree. He may not have put things well but he was expressing his sense that the Democratic policies have damaged the Negro as badly or worse than slavery. My sense was that he was wanting a better path with real choices for American Negros not that in any way he thought slavery was good or preferable. It was a comparison to show the extent of the damage the Democratic policies have caused.

Last I checked, we have a First Amendment right to express our views. I may not agree with Bundy, but I believe he has a right, in America, to say what he thinks. I am shocked by how NO ONE in media is helping people remember this.

Bigoted racist old fool?

Is that code for someone not afraid of telling the truth?

From where I sit, what I’ve heard of what he said is not racist, it was “racial” and yes we should still be allowed to have discussion on the subject. Free country and all that.

Bundy stupidly walked into a trap that he should have seen coming. He should have known the the pen is mightier than a sword and the "Racist!" label is a nuclear weapon.

But who gives that "Racist!" label so much power? Cowardly conservatives that run for the hills at its merest whisper and would throw their own mother under the bus to avoid its taint.

We on the right should just say "So, what?" or "Big deal" to that charge. The "Racism!" slur is the most powerful weapon the the Left has and, really, its their only weapon. We have to overcome it, discredit it, or ignore it because the Left will always have it hanging over heads like the Sword of Damocles.
