No,they should be fined, sentenced to a year in a labor camp and then deported.
I say it is important that we do not call such people “illegal aliens”, solely because the expression has been vitiated, exhausted, and no longer means what it says to many.
So instead, if they are from Mexico, call them “Mexican citizens”, because it frames the argument in much more basic terms.
“State legislature ponders giving ‘Mexican citizens’ in-state tuition and drivers licenses”, is a lot more honest than pretending they are “immigrants”.
If they moved into your back yard, pitched a tent and lit a fire in your compost heap, the question would not be if they were “squatters” on “tenants”. They are home invaders who do not belong there. Even if they don’t like their crappy home they have deserted, it is still their home.
Well duh.....
