US Communists Shill for Russia Over Ukraine

US Communists Shill for Russia Over Ukraine Submitted by Trevor on April 18, 2014 – 3:08 am EST

Brian Becker

Two groups have been most actively supporting “there is no such thing as an ex-Chekist,” Vladimir Putin’s naked aggression in the Ukraine.

They are Western communists, who hate the West and still see Russia as a force for socialism and anti-Americanism, and some naive Western “conservatives” like commentator Pat Buchanan and actor Steven Segal, who seem to believe that Comrade Putin is a closet Christian bent on defending Western values and saving Europe from the Islamic hordes. These naifs seem to have no idea that Mr. Putin’s KGB/FSB comrades have long manipulated those Islamic hordes against the West and have attacked our values at every opportunity for more than 90 years.

The communists must be laughing up their sleeves as they dupe self deluding “conservatives” like Buchanan and Segal into cheerleading their own destruction.

Here’s one such Western communist — Brian Becker of the Party for Socialism and Liberation.

Interviewed on Kremlin propaganda channel RT (formerly Russia Today), Comrade Becker does a splendid job of obscuring the truth and spreading lies and disinformation on Moscow’s behalf.

As an American, I sure don’t want to emulate Russia and the Soviet Union.

You know, you guys can go too far in your expressions of revulsion for the United States, having a terrible president who agrees with you about how disgusting we are, is temporary, it did not erase everything that we are and always have been.

Maybe it is the Texan, and the veteran, and the Reagan conservatism in me, but I am not ready to switch over to Russia.

Pushing a Christian line, even if it is not sincerely, is a better deal than attacking Christianity on all fronts.
I don’t know why Putin’s intentions are anyone’s business in America.
Bottom line is US has managed to establish a unique socioeconomic system at the time, but going to blow it hijacking a sort of Commintern from the Soviets after their collapse.
Yet, instead of fighting for the Republic and holding your governmeent accountable for sprearing economic and cultural socialism at home and elsewhere, people are questioning a foreign leader’s values, are they sincere or not.
Being a ‘thug’ or a ‘false Christian’ Putin does a better job for freedom by just publicly calling to faith and criticising Marxism than all the Western politicians who are pushing for Islam, welfare state and homosex, even if he is not sincere.

Oh, you meant we buy stuff from China, I thought you meant that we support China in their foreign policy, instead of opposing them.

You also think I am a secret KGB agent trying to get Freepers to become anti-Putin so we can have WW3. Nothing really surprises me.

We’re not manufacturing anything. As long as we don’t, we have no business whining how they run things in China.

Does anyone remember NATO? We are still members, and we still care about Russian expansionism and goals on the world, we still have guys on active duty that were a part of Reagan's 435,000 Americans in Europe, looking down the barrels of the guns of their massive and evil, and worse than Nazis Empire.

I think we should be concerned about communist tyrannies. They’ve only been trying to subvert and destroy us since Karl Marx, after all.

I just think so many are stuck fighting the last war and they don’t realize the world has changed. Britain has more kids being named muhammad than being named George. The old idea of a moral west against a godless socialist movement from the Soviet Union is over. Open your eyes-There is more of threat from the EU expanding socialism than an imperial Russia.

Who is building Churches, who is cutting taxes, who is standing up to islam, who is standing up to the homosexual agenda? You worry about free speech and heavy handed government in Russia? Did you visit the “free speech zone” at the Bundy ranch right here at home? No, I don’t want Russia to control my life, but I also don’t want the EU or UN either. I don’t want my sons to die for EU expansion-you can sign up if you want along with John McCain.

When I see the EU and Obama and The NY Times and those freaks of Femen (who strip naked and attack Churches and the religious) all on the side of the coup government in Kiev...it makes me question why all these allies of the left are against Russia if Russia is supposed to be the moving force of socialism.

Islam, European socialism, atheism, the homosexual agenda, and heavy handed government in the US is my concern-not old men waving hammer and sickle flags while they go to Church and eat at McDonalds.

~The average chinaman isn’t in control of China’s foreign policy. The Chinese communist party, which has long had links with the Kremlin, is what calls the shots. That’s the difference between a totalitarian regime and a Republican or Democratic one. The will of the people matters not, and can easily be changed through supression and propaganda~

True to some degree, but an authoritarian government has to mind public opinion too, or it won’t last long.
Not to mention Chinese commie apparatchics aren’t imported from an outer space, they are coming from the rest of Chinese and it makes their background.

Church in Russia liquidated as authorities target Christian-run projects

Churches and Christian organisations in Russia that are engaged in educational, social and charitable work are facing harassment from the authorities. One church has been liquidated for alleged illegal non-religious educational activity.

On 5 March, St Petersburg’s Harvest Pentecostal Church’s appeal against its closure was rejected by Russia’s Supreme Court. The court upheld a ruling on 14 November that the church had been conducting general (non-religious) educational work, which, as a religious organisation, it was not licensed to do.

The church had been subjected to an unannounced inspection in May 2013 by officials purportedly checking for “extremist” activity. It was fined for minor violations of fire and sanitary regulations, and the pastor was later summoned to attend the liquidation hearing.

A case was brought against Harvest Church because, the Prosecutor’s Office said, its premises were “equipped as classrooms with school desks and chairs [and] shelves with educational literature”. St Petersburg City Court ruled that the church was running an eksternat, an external/home schooling programme.

We’re not manufacturing anything.

Actually we only slipped to number two in manufacturing in the world, in 2011.

We still make a few things, as number two, and American interests and survival, are not "whining".

True, but Russians don’t have their Warsaw pact anymore. They are a nation of 140 million, in a class of Bangladesh or Nigeria.
What global expansionism are you talking about?

What's a few provinces of Georgia, and Crimea, worth talking about?

Who said I’m supporting this? On the other hand I see a legal, not theological problem there. They should have been licensed and meet specific standards to operate as an educational institution.

Each country has some stupid regulations.

but Russians don’t have their Warsaw pact anymore.

The discussion is about them reassembling it, that is why nations are arming, talking about joining NATO, and why Poland and other (now ex-Warsaw) NATO countries are asking for NATO troops.

and it was "Russian expansionism", not your rewrite of "global expansionism".

None of Georgian provinces are incorporated into Russia, and Crimea was Russian for centuries.
Anyway, I’m not supporting Crimean takeover but I don’t see it as a big deal and of any American interest.

I think we should be concerned about communist tyrannies.

You're right. I am most concerned about the real Communist tyrannies emanating from Brussels, New York, and Washington,D.C., the District of Criminals, a.k.a. Mordor on the Potomac. They represent a clear and present danger to Western Civilization and are ruining my country and my way of life RIGHT NOW. Nobody can make the case that Putin is a Communist or that he is ruining his country or that Russia is a threat to any country let alone to the United States.
