Alameda County prosecutors said Thursday that they will seek the death penalty for a man accused of firing the shots that killed an 8-year-old girl during a sleepover at a friend's house in Oakland.

Why do they even say they’re going for the death penalty - there’s no way Kali will kill anyone. I think they just do it so they can lengthen the process so the lawyers get more money from the taxpayers.

Authorities believe he hoped to target anyone associated with Antiown York, a man he believed was responsible for killing Jermaine Davis - Carroll’s 26-year-old cousin - four hours earlier in Berkeley.

Hardly anyone gets executed in California these days. Richard Ramirez, The “Night Stalker,” did die in San Quentin; however, it was from natural causes.

He was convicted in 1980.
