Repeal of Obamacare Would Increase the Deficit—Seriously?

According to Obama, repealing Obamacare would increase the deficit. You’re probably just as shocked as I am to hear this bold statement seeing as the public relations for Obamacare alone cost taxpayers millions of dollars more than anticipated and states such as Maryland are completely overhauling their websites—a huge waste of taxpayer dollars.

Somehow the White House continues to spin Obamacare in a positive light—as a money saver rather than a job crushing law that has caused nothing but hardship for millions of Americans.

It is important to point out that for years before Obamacare took effect, taxes had been raised on every American. Taxes have been raised so much in fact that repealing Obamcaare would in fact create a deficit. However, this deficit would come at the benefit of the taxpayer because it means more money in their wallets rather than to the bureaucrats in Washington.

During Obama’s press conference today he refused to acknowledge the significant flaws with Obamacare and instead placed blame on conservatives for their unwillingness to accept his terms. He then blamed states that have not accepted Medicaid expansion dollars—when it is true that Medicaid expansion is a huge expense to taxpayers and will lead to higher taxes across each state. He then went on to continue the same liberal talking points of seven million people enrolling and over three million young people staying on their parents plans until the age of 26.

What Obama continues to overlook is polling that show that Obamacare is unpopular and that his favorability has gone down as a result of the rollout and his lie of the year. In conversations with people across the country it is clear that Obamacare is not working for the majority of Americans. Many self-employed young people cannot afford insurance and yet are told they have to pay a penalty for not having insurance—how is that fair?

Obama has continuously lied to the American people and continues to believe that Obamacare has been successful when he has not been able to enroll the very demographic that he sought after—young, uninsured Americans.

Let’s look at what the repeal of Obamacare would actually do for Americans—it would allow them to keep their insurance and their doctors. Repeal would allow for young people not to subsidize healthcare for the older and sicker population. Repeal of Obamacare would bring taxes down and actually allow for free market solutions and reforms to healthcare.

Don't let 'em fool you. Total spending, not the deficit, is the real problem. If government convinces you that debt is the crisis, the next step is to pressure a rise in taxes and keep stupid programs like Obamakill.

The real issue is the $4 trillion government which need to be cut by at least 80% (=$800 billion, still too large, but it's a start) and replacing it with THE FREE MARKET. HHS bureaucracy alone is $1 Trillion. NUKE IT.

Keep your eye on one thing and one thing only: how much government is spending, because that’s the true tax ... If you’re not paying for it in the form of explicit taxes, you’re paying for it indirectly in the form of inflation or in the form of borrowing. The thing you should keep your eye on is what government spends, and the real problem is to hold down government spending as a fraction of our income, and if you do that, you can stop worrying about the debt. -- Milton Friedman
