Ford Built A Mustang On Top Of The Empire State Building Last Night

It's been 50 years since Ford built the world-renowned 1965 Mustang and placed it high above Manhattan on the 86th floor of the Empire State Building. Last night, Ford came back with a bigger, yellower, all around more complicated car from 2015 and decided to recreate the famous stunt as a 50-year homage—only this time, they did it in the snow and over the course of just 5 hours.

Ugh; it’s that “Mustang” that resembles the Ford Fusion too closely. They had a winner in the previous model that resembled the original; something tells me this will be their next Mustang II.

Well, that’s Chrysler for you. They also renamed the Dodge Omni 024 as the Charger when they put the turbo four from the Daytona in there.

Though there may have been a 302 4-spd Mustang II, it was still the Pinto-Mustang. The Falcon-Mustang was much better.

The Falcon-Mustang was the original. And the four-barrel 289 was way better on horsepower than any 302 (140 hp) that the Pinto-Mustang had (the one to own was the solid-lifter 289 with 271 horses).
