This Incredible New Footage Shows How Close Bundy Standoff Came To A Massacre

The inside story of how one New Yorker may have kept the Bundy protestors from a bloody end

Documentary filmmaker Dennis Michael Lynch was at the Bundy Ranch front line and has never seen that type of force at the border where drugs and people are routinely smuggled across.

They weren’t out gunned or out maneuvered. It was just going to be lousy TV.

Not only would it have been lousy TV, but I would assume the guys with some combat military experience really didn't want to end up in an unplanned free for all firefight where they were at the bottom of a sandy ravine with no useful cover and there were an unknown number of potential opponents on the high ground - with concrete barriers for cover.

Also, if you looked carefully at the government agents, some were heavily armed, and probably well trained. Some probably not so much. I doubt as a team they had any experience in fighting their way out of what would have amounted to a close quarters ambush, had shooting started for any reason, even mistakenly. Whatever the scope of the dispute regarding the cattle, it isn't worth people getting killed over it.

Situations like the one they created can rapidly spiral out of control, and when they do people get hurt or killed on both sides. Luckily cooler heads prevailed at that moment, and an obviously tense situation was defused. At this point political leaders need to get involved to prevent a repeat of what appears to be an unnecessary and dangerous use of force.

A good starting point would be for political leaders in Congress to start asking questions to the BLM and start getting documents and emails to understand why the BLM took the course of action they did. I suspect a good number of the BLM and police agents present don't consider "trespass cattle" something worth dying for. And the public certainly doesn't think some cattle, or a debt would justify the loss of anyone's life. Whoever put them in a situation where that could have happened should be willing to explain to the public why they did so.

They ( BLM ) were out flaked in the bottom of a river bed. They were going to be slaughtered. The professional conduct and mercy of the militia is what saved those men.
It looked like they were set up to be killed by their handlers so the full power of the federal government could be deployed. Mass confiscation of weapons for the good of the children country wide.
Tyranny took a direct hit and it was wonderful to witness. They will be back and so will the people.

Video still works for me. And it seems others can see it.

When I right mouse click on it, it say “About JW Player 6.8.4616”. I don’t know if this means anything or not.

America has indeed been fundamentally changed and it is change we will come to regret

With all due respect, I regret the change now, every day. Have been for the last 10 years or so.

I wonder why she isn’t speaking to him now. Do you think they just found out they’re being audited or something?

“I believe 0bama would have loved to paint the Ranchers and the Militia as crazy right wing gun nuts that need to be controlled.”

That would be their Reichstag moment.

"Everybody should watch the entire interview."

Crap! I watched about 20 minutes and then paused it. When I went to start it up again it went back to the beginning. And I can't get the video to start where I left off. Any clues?

Thankfully cooler heads prevailed. But what is going to happen the next time something like this occurs? All it takes is one nervous, or angry, person and the whole nation will go up in flames.

LOL. You mean like all the documents the feds turned over relating to F&F, the IRS and Benghazi?

I'm not advocating violence, but you should be realistic. The congress will do jack sh1t looking into this and the BLM will cooperate with free release of documents even less. The only thing that will stop this sort of thing is massive, peaceful resistance with the subtle but clear implication that if the feds instigate violence, "turn the other cheek" will not be the response.

IMO, a citizen mobilization like this taking place at more of these events of federal bullying is the only thing to do. Enough of it and the states will feel pressured to back up the people and begin to start resisting brownshirt federal overreach.

I think because she figured he risked his life. I saw the video of him walking to the government forces with his hands in the air - yelling that he wasn’t armed. He was trying to prevent a massacre. Actually it was a very brave thing.

But think about it - this was OUR government people - who are the enemy!!!! How far have we fallen down to be at the point where we aren’t shocked by this!

No doubt. .300 and even .338 wm at 600 yards from cover vs m-16s is a bad matchup for tactical forest rangers.
