Did Sean Hannity Just Say TSA Searches are Okay?
Vanity | 4-16-14 | Self

Posted on 04/16/2014 2:30:29 PM PDT by C. Edmund Wright

I may be wrong, but I think I just heard Sean Hannity say on his show that the TSA searches are okay. It happened just as I came across his show - so I must say up front I may have heard it wrong, or perhaps out of context. If anyone can correct this, please do so.

BUT, I think he said something to the effect of he's happy to go thru the process, that if it will keep us all safer, we should all just do it. Now I hope this was out of context, because there's about three major problems with that short statement….he certainly cannot mean that.

I only support candidates who are most likely to adhere to US constitution. However when it comes to boarding a flight with the family, we tolerate the inconvenience of search for weapons. There are too many crazy religious fanatics in this world. If a weapon gets on the plane, there is no escape to safety.

Heck, you can not even enter a federal building, a court of law, and other places without going through searches. A firearm on a plane is much more lethal than those places.

I'm willing to put my life on the line to guarantee my own safety. I don't need a federal government stomping on the Constitution to keep me safe.

As I pointed out, the problems on planes SINCE 9/11 have been stopped by passengers stomping mud-holes into wanna-be disruptors. Not by the TSA.

Was one just recently, where the passengers 'subdued' a crazy that tried to open the outside door to an aircraft.

He survived. They do sometimes. Sometimes they don't.

Easy solution...make the airlines responsible for airline security.

The airlines could provide flights that have screenings and other that do not. It should be up to the paying customer if he want to go through a screening or not.

I dunno, but stay tuned for the next 10 minutes or so, he’s bound to repeat whatever it was at least 20 more times

Then he'll talk about all the times he was searched by the TSA.

Hannity makes EVERY story about himself. He's creepy.

Do you know what the juiciest terrorist target at the airport is besides an airliner full of hundreds of passengers? Its the queue of hundreds of passengers waiting to go through the security screening. Its odd those have never been attacked by those crazy religious fanatics.

don’t listen to her anymore...

too self-absorbed, self-important...

it seems to happen to the best of
them the longer they are on air.

Because there could be armed security people walking around at airports. Terrorists are afraid of being shot before killing many people. From the terrorist’s point of view, the airplane is a gun free zone and easy to overpower.

Almost all mass killings occur in gun free zones.

Fewer govt employees...

Which is exactly why it will never happen. More gov't employees = more union employees = more money funneled to democrats. Why do you think BLM has so many armed personnel? It is a land management outfit for cripes sake. They don't need SWAT teams. Every government agency seems to have a SWAT team now-a-days.

When I was in college, flying home and back to school for various holidays, I frequently had a large-caliber pistol in my carry-on bag.

And I never shot anyone, had an accidental discharge, or hijacked the flight.

being a frequent flyer, how many strangers have seen your wife and little daughter nekkid as a jay bird...They made my niece take out her breast prosthesis while standing in line to get through security...she now travels from Maryland to michigan by car....try it sometime rather than let your daughter be ogled naked by some unknown pervert behind the xray machine that doesn't show skeletons but real bodies in real time.....That's nothing to brag about. You really hold YOUR safety in high reguard over the modesty of your females....

Knock on wood, my wife sails through quickly every time through the security check. Last month I flew from LA to Seattle and they did not even ask me to remove shoes. I had more issues at Singapore airport where they confiscated my little scissors for trimming nose hair! No scissors of any kind allowed at that airport’s security. The airport in Manilla was a complete zoo. Very slow processing and once you are past security, there are no water fountains, I had to buy a $3 water bottle for a few sips.
