Mom: Bomb scare suspect suffers from bipolar disorder

The Wakefield man arrested near the finish line of the Boston Marathon last night "suffers from bipolar disorder" and "was off his meds" when he allegedly created panic on the one-year anniversary of the deadly terrorist bombing, his shaken mother told the Herald.
"It's very overwhelming right now," said Joie Edson, 59, of Wakefield, who plans to issue a statement on her family's behalf later today.
Kevin "Kayvon" Edson, 25, officially identified this morning by Suffolk District Attorney Daniel Conley's Office, is expected to be arraigned this morning in Boston
