Inside the Bundy Ranch standoff: The stakes go far beyond cattle
Investor's Business Daily ^ | April 15, 2014 | Andrew Malcolm

It was a tense standoff in rural Nevada with armed protesters closing I-15 for a while and facing off against even more heavily-armed federal agents.

For now, that volatile Bundy Ranch confrontation has been defused. But it's not over by any means. And we may well experience others that do not pause in non-violence.

These are profound disputes illustrative of abiding suspicions among average Americans and their government headed by a man who promised to bring people together but didn't. And it comes in an uncertain economic time when so many have given up big dreams to just keep what they have.

The specific Nevada dispute, such as it is, has been simmering for 21 years between a Mormon cattle rancher named Cliven Bundy and the Bureau of Land Management, better-known in the West as BLMM, the Bureau of Land Mis-Management.

But the far larger issue, most intense in the West, involves a mounting distrust and suspicion of all things federal -- Congress, the bureaucracy and especially an aloof president. His perceived interests are inserting an over-reaching government into the lives of every American for their own good from closing coal mines and rewriting restaurant menus to seizing private property and regulating cow farts.....

I think they plan to “Waco” Bundy sometime in the not too distant future. I hope they are prepared fight off the government scum bags. It is possible that CW 2 is closer than we thought. I hope not, but I am beginning to think there is no getting around it. I think the government is actually hoping to start the war.

The divide in this country is deep. Armed conflict would spread over the entire nation as there are no clear boundaries between the ideological camps.

I truly hope it never comes to such as I love this country and do not want to be at war with fellow citizens.

I think there has been deliberate fanning of the flames of hatred each side feels toward the other making resolution difficult.

That is why I believe that states’ rights must be upheld and strengthened. The tyranny of the left has been egregious since the election of Pres. Obama. Likewise, his election has triggered a sense of urgency in people who now see the need to protect and preserve our country from the enemy within.

Attempts at reining in the federal government haven’t been very successful so I don’t really see where we go from here. I know it’s been said before, but truly this coming election is pivotal. The results will bolster the winning side to increase their efforts; one side to transform America into a country most of us over a certain age will not recognize and the other to stand even more solidly against the tide of socialism/Marxism.

I hope not also, but we shall see. You mentioned the left's desire to transform the country into something we won't recognize. My question would be, if the country hasn't already reached that point, how much worse can it get? Concentration camps and crematoriums?

There is still some semblance of the American spirit, especially in the heartland of America and that spirit is struggling to survive in the onslaught of Obama and his cohorts.

We are seeing it in the Tea Party and most recently in those who left their homes to support Bundy here in the state of Nevada.

As the left pushes their agenda more forcefully, the reality of what they are doing is coming to light.

Thank God for the internet and alternate news sources. Without them much of the left’s devious actions would never come to light.

That is why this November is so important. He has two more years in office. We need a firewall, no matter how weak, to put the brakes on some of his power grab. Sometimes, all one side needs is to hold out long enough for the tide to turn.

Concentration camps and crematoriums?

It doesn’t start there, it starts with indoctrination
in our schools, it starts with infringments on our
rights as free men, it starts with the disarming of
a free people.....then it’s concentration camps and
crematoriums.

Ok, the things you mentioned are pretty much happening now. The disarming, if and when that happens, might be the beginning of the massacres.
