Russia has asked the United States to use its influence to prevent bloodshed in eastern Ukraine, as Kiev threatened a "large-scale anti-terrorist operation" to remove separatists from government buildings.
Russian President Vladimir Putin made the appeal during a phone conversation with US President Barack Obama, in which the Kremlin said the two leaders discussed the escalating unrest.
The Kremlin said the Russian president also rejected Western claims that Moscow is behind attacks on government buildings, saying they were "based on unfounded information."
Earlier Mr Putin's spokesman said Russia had received several appeals for help from separatists who are seeking to follow in the footsteps of the Crimean Peninsula and force a referendum on joining the Russian Federation.

Putin probably is a sodomite. His and his father’s history as secret policemen makes it hard to believe he’s any type of Christian that resembles Jesus Christ, though I can see a connection to the hucksters who use religion for personal profit. And, again unlike Jesus Christ, I find his personal wealth, probably now the richest man in the world with his $75 billion, a bit unconvincing for those who rally around him as the great Christian crusader. Putinistas also put aside Putin’s relations with the mad mullahs of Iran and their secret police forces, who maintain excellent relations with Putin’s secret police. So as Christians go, it’s hard to see the evidence that Putin is doing his best to act like Christ.
I would think he was making fun of Obama since surely a bloodshed is the goal of Putin.

Its kind of eerie: your hero Obama lecturing Putin on human rights when he was going to inflict bloodshed in his own country on a hapless rancher.
The Russian President asked America to use its inluence with the Maidan leadership to prevent them from massacring their own people. I imagine Obama told him he would send Kiev the BLM on how to do it.
We have a situation thick with irony. Totalitarianism is in evidence not in Russia but in America.
I don’t know why you’d think that disapproval of Putin equates to approval of Obama. Perhaps when a mind is as muddled as that in the first place, one ends up approving of Putin and one becomes a Putinista. I am opposed to both of them; they’re both far from the US Constitution in their views, policies, and actions, and any real conservative views. If you’ve read and thought deeply about government and conservatism through the years, you know that they’re both statist. One of them just throws in some shibboleths as boob bait for Putinista dupes. And yes, Obama doesn’t even pretend to be conservative.
He was with her before his divorced wife, like Peter the Great’s, ended up in a nunnery. I guess that’s more evidence that Putin’s a true Christian.
By the way, I’d like to give you another example. I’d assume one could have been a good conservative and have been against both Hitler and Stalin, against Brezhnev and Pinochet, against Castro and against Somoza. Try understanding my position with that in mind, if it’s possible for you.

That's pretty hypocritical coming from a group of Neo-Nazi thugs that firebombed cops and occupied government buildings to seize power. I'm sure if the previous legitimate government had used "large-scale anti-terrorist operations" against he firebomb throwers in Kiev they would have been condemned by Obama, the Commie UN, and the sodomite EU, risked sanctions and possibly being bombed by NATO.

I guess they say the video is pro-Russian protestors beating pro-Ukrainian or whatever. Either way, it’s sickening, and it’s going to be worse. We could easily see stuff like this in our cities (other than Knockout Games which already look like this).
You’re right. Putin is trying to tap into a powerful global constituent that has no representation in any government: decent human beings. It’s a group that’s been literally robbed, raped, murdered, marginalized, and told they deserve it because all the problems in the world are their fault. We who maintain a traditional Christian worldview are ripe for exploitation by a strongman who’ll set himself up as our champion.
Really, we’ve had it better than any people in the history of the world, so it’s difficult to embrace persecution like God’s Word instructs.
