I remember when I used to wave at cops.

I remember when I used to wave at cops.

I still do, but only when passing through an accident area etc. I'll make eye contact with the officers/deputies doing traffic control and wave - just to let them know I see them and I'm paying attention to them, not gawking. A simple courtesy.

Good point and a good idea. I must start smiling at them once more. It will perhaps help make them less defensive like we’re the enemy and become part of the community again.

Don’t do that now, they might mistake your hand for a gun and shoot you, unless you have a dog.

Piss on that now. I want nothing to do with cops ever.

Just about like going to the doctor. Best way to stay healthy is not. Best way to stay safe is to keep to yourself and leave the cops alone.

>>I remember when I used to wave at cops.<<

Cops have become so paranoid and hyper-vigilant these days. More and more folks are being capped by the cops for this reason.

For instance, a woman was shot and killed by officers for swinging a baseball bat. Ok, sure, she shouldn't have swung a bat around the officers....but did they have to kill her?

How bout the little boy with the toy gun? Gunned down. Ok, it was a toy that looked like a gun. Did the kid fire a shot? No. He was gunned down by officers. They couldn't take up defensive positions? How bout a leg shot? Nonlethal methods? Why take the kid's life?

A legal concealed carrier in a Costco or Sam's club. Someone noticed his sidearm and called the cops. When he and his wife exited the store, cops screamed commands at him. Not understanding what was happening, he turned toward the cops...they gunned him down right in front of his wife. Killed him dead.

On and on and on.... I sure don't trust’em any longer.
