Armed guards surround Bundy, supporters fear imminent threat

LAS VEGAS -- Local rancher Cliven Bundy may have his cattle back, but his supporters say they are still preparing for an imminent threat.

Militia groups from all over the country say they are flocking to the Bundy ranch to protect the family from a feared federal government raid.

The Bureau of Land Management allowed Bundy to release his cattle Saturday, after they felt threatened.

Bundy now has a whole contingent of armed guards surrounding him 24 hours a day.

"They're just there, trying to make sure something crazy doesn't happen to him," Bundy's son Ammon Bundy said.

His security detail and family feel he is someone to be protected because of what the federal government could do.

In my lifetime, the Federal Government has always been an opposition, but never a threat to kill people for simply standing up to them.

I hear you. I'm looking into joining my State militia. I've done a little research on them. I meet or exceed all requirements for gear and physical fitness... Have to do some serious thinking about the time and $ commitment. But if it is important enough...

There is no good way forward for the govt in this situation now. They don’t know how to handle an equal opposing force. They are used to taking people down when they are vulnerable and unarmed.

I predict if the LVPD or the BLM try a SWAT raid its going to go down in flames.

I remember when I used to wave at cops.

I still do, but only when passing through an accident area etc. I'll make eye contact with the officers/deputies doing traffic control and wave - just to let them know I see them and I'm paying attention to them, not gawking. A simple courtesy.

I saw video of a prisoner bus trailing the command center vehicle out to the Bundy Ranch location. I get the distinct impression that my lying eyes are deceiving me yet again.

My father was alarmed years ago when the cities were developing swat teams. I miss my dad, but am glad he didn’t witness what has happened to our country.

Now is the time for a legal team militia to open a second front. They need to demand that Bundy’s win be codified into a formal agreement, treaty, law, court order, etc,,,,.
As the feds are rocked back on their heels, this is a great time to shove them harder.
Because somewhere, they are meeting again at 8am, plotting their next move.

Now is the time to vanquish them completely, stripping away their bogus casus belli.

I think they have failed to take into account just how many patriots are unemployed thanks to anti-business and anti-job federal policies and laws.
