Sheriff: Feds strategize for 'raid' on ranch [Sheriff Mack]

Warning follows threat from Harry Reid that grazing dispute 'not over'

The chief of the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association says his sources inside the federal government are warning that Washington’s weekend retreat in a dispute over grazing land in Nevada was just to distract and defuse – because a raid on the family’s ranch still is being strategized.

And there probably would be violence involved, said Richard Mack, the former sheriff of Grisham County, Ariz.

“I don’t think it would be possible” to launch a raid without violence, he told WND Monday. “I don’t the Bundys would lie down and be taken.”

He cited the threat from Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., that the confrontation was far from over, despite the weekend’s retreat by armed gunmen working for federal agencies.

Reid on Monday told KRNV-TV in Reno. “It’s not over. We can’t have an American people that violate the law and then just walk away from it. So it’s not over.”

Wonder what would happen if some rich tycoon just paid the grazing fee fine?

Also, I have heard stories I cannot confirm that the Govt (the BLM) euthanized some of the tortoises because they didn’t have the funds to feed them. (Of course, that’s a bunch of BS) If so, isn’t that a federal crime in itself?

Yes the BLM did euthanized desert tortoises because there were too many of them.

Having bled and sweated for land that you don’t own, but that for a fee the BLM will let you use doesn’t let you not pay that fee. If the cause is Bundy then that cause will fail.

I say the cause is federal abuse of power which includes the Endangered Species Act, Corps of Engineers, EPA, IRS, BLM, BATF, etc.

If Bundy is the cause then it is a lost cause. He will lose and we with him. He’s a sinking ship. Go find those other ranchers put out of business over the years and you’ve got a cause. That’s the way to win this. Broaden it, expand it, show a long term pattern of abuse and you win this, big time. Bundy’s a sucker’s bet.

The best odds for survival is lots of video and live Internet feeds that won’t allow the gubmint to execute their bloodbath without the world watching

That didn't work so good in Waco

no tv here either - as a widow, I am too poor to pay for non-news tommyrot!

And, I used to watch Fox, but fear they have gone over to the dark side too. They make a nice pretense of being fair and balanced, but they manage to stay on the approved side of the politically correct line.

At this point, I consider it all kabuki theater.

LaJunes on site. Also a videographer who was there Saturday. Very sympathetic coverage. Said the ranchers were prepared to die.

First off that land belonged to no one, lets get that straight, secondly the BLM and Environmental nut jobs stepped in and just said ok this now ours...what you fail to grasp the Federals will not stop taking till they get slapped back. The Courts are not the answer as they will just tie it up for years in legalize BS...this is the time to trade blood for blood.

You don't seem to understand Western water rights. They take that stuff VERY seriously out there.

If anyone dies in this case then we’ve lost for certain. John Brown was a criminal who hurt the abolitionist cause.

Bundy is as well and will hurt our small government cause. Find those other ranchers, bring them into the light and let Bundy and his kooky beliefs fade away. Then our cause will be won.

So that the government is a giant RICO case and you win the hearts and minds of the people without firing a shot. Keep to the high ground and stay out of the mud.

Have you ever read Sun Tzu?

and, I know nothing about desert tortoises, but doubt that the cattle endangered them - if anything they may have enjoyed a symbiotic relationship, in that the tortoises got valuable nutrients, and water from the cow excrement.

Next thing I suppose we will be fed from BLM is that Bundy’s cows fart too much, endangering our climate.

“Yes, that’s the ticket” - Cow farts!

And the fact that the BLM seemed to be perfectly willing to slaughter innocent Americans using military grade weapons and tactics over “grazing fees” is a national disgrace. You might expect a communist or fascist regime to do this, not America. This agency is totally out of control. Heads need to roll.

I’d suggest starting with Reid’s henchman who is now chief of the BLM. Then a serious congressional investigation into Reid and his son’s involvement in this matter would be in order.

I see where you are going, but most people are not that sophisticated.

They need symbols. Bundy, even if flawed (not saying he is, because I read so many conflicting opinions), seems to be a symbol that is readily understood by those who would rather watch sports on TV than study the Consitution, and our loss of freedoms.

Sorry about the run-on sentence. Too tired to do proper editing.

Other than human shields, the best defense for the Bundys is to get the identities of the agents involved, and put them on the Internet as “fugitive criminals”, who along with their families will never be able to live in America without being hounded for their crimes.

I agree. Also, put up the names and addresses of the congress critters just so they know they have skin in the game.

The targeting of America starting right at the Founding. My cause is my beloved country and her God-given Constitution.

If your cause is Cliven Bundy, then it is a losing cause fought for a kook.

I know how to win without bloodshed, by using reason and good public relations to bring the cowards and mushy middle to my side. Let Cliven fade away, ignore him. Bring out the people of Klamath Falls, the ranchers and farm families who have been abused by the BLM, Corps of Engineers, the EPA, the BATF, the Kelo decision, etc.

Those are the stories, told over and over by American after American are powerful. They’re real and they point to a pattern of deception and abuse of power against ordinary Americans. Bring out urban families abused by Administrative Law, SWAT teams and petty tyrants via permitting and licensing fees. Show that the entire construct is a vicious mess meant to keep us down.

Do all that and we begin to win and win and win.

Defend Cliven Bundy and you get branded with his kookism and we lose and lose and keep on losing.

See what you miss is do you do you honestly think the Federal Gov will allow its self to be downsized..if so I want what you are smoking...just as in the age of the Founders reason will at some point go out the window...and use of force necessary. I was a true believer in the voting process till this last National election when Romney didn’t get a single vote in a number of NE cities...the system is rigged and your dream of a smaller Federal Gov is pie in the sky thinking.
