Reid on Cattle Battle: "It's not over"
KRNV ^ | 04/14/2014

Posted on 04/14/2014 2:14:23 PM PDT by Andy'smom

RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- Senate majority leader Harry Reid hasn't been very vocal about the cattle battle showdown in recent days, but says "it's not over."

Reid tells News4's Samantha Boatman his take on the so-called cattle battle in southern Las Vegas. "Well, it's not over. We can't have an American people that violate the law and then just walk away from it. So it's not over," Reid said.

Senator Reid had just wrapped up a speech and question and answer session with students at UNR.

"Over? Did you say 'over?' Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell, no!"

And Harry Reid is worth how many millions on his salary? And his son is involved in what? Well, bless their hearts.

And most of us taxpayers just padded his bank account. Like most Democrats he’s a greedy pig. It’s never enough for them.

“Reid purchased his condo at the Ritz-Carlton, which is now valued at $1 million, and paid $750,000 in cash for the property in 2001, according to property assessment records. As Senate majority leader, Reid’s annual income is $193,400.”

—Politico, Oct. 10, 2010

“My staff tells me not to say this, but I’m going to say it anyway. In the summer because of the heat and high humidity, you could literally smell the tourists coming into the Capitol. It may be descriptive but it’s true.”

—Senator Harry Reid, December 2008

” We can’t have an American people that violate the law and then just walk away from it.”

Unless you are a freaking ILLEGAL! Then it’s not a felony only compassionate. They can ‘walk away’ across our border and get food stamps, driver’s license, free school, housing, etc.!

Better think about that statement again, Ole Harry!

“But we welcome Mexican people who violate the laws and we not only let them walk away from it, we give them taxpayer money to pay for housing, clothing, food and education. It’s those damned Americans that we can’t tolerate breaking any laws.”

Exactly!

And I’m damned tired of it!

It’s an election year.

For democrats the environmentalists always come first, they attend the cocktail parties and represent easy money. As opposed to the unwashed dependant class, which makes up the majority of the base.

When Obama was elected you’ll remember the first order of business was...(drum roll please)...Cap-n-Trade, which failed miserably.

The first order of business was NOT Obamacare, which proportedly benefited the great unwashed base of the democrat party.

Global warming has fallen flat. Car-n-Trade was dead on arrival. The democrats have failed miserably to appease the environmentalists who themselves need to to I turn raise money to keep thier own graft schemes going.

Of coarse it’s not over. Weigh the Bundy’s life, liberty and 150 year legacy against the odds that in the next decade somewhere in 150,000 acres a cow ‘might’ crap on a hapless tortuise.

Tortuise wins every time. /sarc

“Reid tells News4’s Samantha Boatman his take on the so-called cattle battle in southern Las Vegas.”

Somebody please clue this “ace” reporter in that Gold Butte, aka Bundy cattlegate, is not in southern Las Vegas. If what Dingy harry is referring to is yet another ranch coming up?

Oh, but it’s JUST FINE for illegals to trespass on federal land. Trespass cows? No way. No cows. Undocumented people committing acts of love? We’ll take another 500,000 this week, please. Thank you very much. /s

We can't have an American people, who aren't elected officials and are outside of Washington DC, that violate the law and then just walk away from it. So it's not over," Reid said.

Fixed that for ya, Dingy.

Never that I can reliably point to. I was referring to the puff-picture painted by the press. As Laz would say, I was cracking wise.

Once upon a time, Nevada was very ably represented in the US Senate by Patrick Anthony McCarran (the namesake for the McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas). Though he was a Democrat, Pat McCarran was almost the polar opposite of Harry Reid, in that during his tenure in the US Senate (1933-1954) he was both anti-New Deal (one of the more resistant to FDR’s blandishments) and a staunch anti-Communist. He admired both Francisco Franco of Spain and Generalissimo Chiang Kai-Shek of China, and placed the blame for the loss of China in 1949 on Communist infiltration of the State Department. In many ways, he laid the groundwork for Joe McCarthy, but Senator McCarran had the bad judgment to die in 1954.

Senator McCarran had a considerable amount of bad press from the media of the time, some even calling him “the worst Senator in America”. But Harry Reid would not even make a boil on Patrick McCarran’s backside.

Patrick McCarran also was one of the authors of the McCarran–Walter Act, a bill that imposed more rigid restrictions on entry quotas to the United States. It also stiffened the existing law relating to the admission, exclusion and deportation of “dangerous” aliens as defined by the McCarran Internal Security Act. This was the law until the program was shredded by Ted Kennedy in 1965, to make it easier for Irish who had illegally entered the US to remain in one of the first of major “amnesties”.

I think I know the answer but, is there no way at all for the citizens to recall Reid except when his term is up? This man desperately needs to spend more time with his family.
