Boehner’s tea party primary challenger accuses him of ‘Electile Dysfunction’ in new ad [VIDEO]

House Speaker John Boehner’s tea party primary opponent J.D. Winteregg is releasing a new parody ad Monday accusing Boehner of “Electile Dysfunction.”

WATCH THE NEW AD HERE

“If you have a Boehner lasting more than 23 years, seek immediate medical attention,” according to the online ad, which seeks to nationalize Winteregg’s fundraising ahead of the May 6 Ohio eighth district Republican primary. (RELATED: TheDC Interview with J.D. Winteregg)

“The intent [with the ad] is to nationalize this thing. He’s everyone’s speaker. He’s my representative, yeah, but he’s America’s speaker. We want to get my name out there and tell people there’s an alternative,” Winteregg told The Daily Caller Sunday night, outlining a “two-pronged approach” that includes a fierce ground game in his district and also a national fundraising campaign. It’s a strategy, according to his veteran Republican campaign consultants, that worked for Scott Brown in 2010, as the unknown tea party favorite mixed district door-knocking with a national drive to provide the forty-first vote in the Senate to block Obamacare.

Winteregg, 32, needs between 40,000 and 50,000 votes to defeat Boehner in next month’s primary, which is expected to draw about 85,000 Republican voters. Boehner is now paying workers to go door-to-door disseminating information, including some targeting Winteregg. The underdog gained traction after an endorsement from the Tea Party Leadership Fund PAC, which found that only 25 percent of Boehner’s own Ohio constituents still support him when he’s paired against any no-name challenger.

Reminds me of when my son was in engineering college. He and a real good friend of his decided to run for the two open student body seats reserved for the college of electrical engineering.

They decided their campaign would be a fake “attack” campaign where each one would attack the other with outrageous posters set all throughout the building.

Things like “Voting for Joe is like taking a....” then a big picture of a dump truck underneath” Joe then ‘accused’ my son of “Laughing when he saw Schindler’s List”. My son retaliated with “Joe has an Uncle named Dick Leeker [true]...” All in all there were over a couple dozen posters - I still have copies of them.

The funniest thing was there was a third candidate, a real serious Asian-American student who was also running. He complained to the college and to the student union about the other two, but no specific charge could be brought. Both Joe and my son won the two seats.

Kinda foul. Surprised a conservative would go down this road. Seems he could have used a different direction. I hope this guy does not win. We don’t need nastiness as part of the Conservatives IMHO.

Oh that was funny? Sheesh I guess we need to get him on Saturday Night Live. He would fit in well there. It is armature and Kindergarten behavior. Certainly not acceptable for a Conservative candidate. I don't even think a Democrat would go that vile and vulgar.

Yes, it reminds me of that juvenile behavior, but unlike a college, an ad like this is not going to help you win, may get you some press but in the end in a general elections makes the person who put it out there a laughing stock.

This is the kind of stuff that ensures the tea party keeps losign elections. Those who were going to vote for you anyway might like it, but its going to turn off more folks than it entices.

Unless of course your target audience are a bunch of college students.

Agreed, stuff like this is what hurts the tea party, not help it. You want to be taken seriously, you don’t act like a child. The converted may think its the best thing since sliced bread, but nearly everyone else sees this and writes you off as joke.

The fact this ad was ever made shows how completely not ready for prime time this candidate is.

I see it more as juvenile than foul. The ad will likely turn away more voters from the challenger than it will attract.

The video is funny, BUT, scroll down to that ad titled...Doctors banned this diet.

WTF is up with that??

Yeah, that diseased looking whatever would cause me to lose weight, I may not be able to eat for a week just looking at the picture!

The ads for all of the incumbants should say “Do you want MORE OF THE SAME?”

Making jokes about someone’s name to hurt them is soooo third grade. If this is the best he’s got he should just drop out now. I swear, it looks like conservatives in this country have some sort of death wish, as it relates to winning an election. And besides, the name isn’t pronounced like “boner”, it’s pronounced like “bainer”.

It’s no surprise that you support the two most humorless candidates in American history as our “dream” ticket. I bet even Santorum, who laughs once a decade whether he needs to or not, would chuckle at this. I know Bachmann would.

Certainly this ad pushes the envelope, but in case you don’t know this in your little cloistered government paycheck world, challengers to a powerful incumbent MUST roll the dice and be a bit riskly. I know, as a gov employee, you are risk averse to an absurd degree, but thankfully, folks trying to change the country are not risk averse.

As for what being conservative has to do with it? You need to read about the first miracle in your Bible….Jesus had a sense of humor. He liked laughter. (I bet you have some phariscaical interpretation of this as grape juice blah blah blah….but you’d be WRONG)

Conservative does not mean humorless or extremely prudish.

LIGHTEN UP!!!!!

He’s not making a joke out of his name per se. The reference to that was buried about 50 seconds deep into the ad. The main point was the “electile dysfunction” - and for so many reasons, that explains the career of Boehner. And this “is that the best you got” is so infantile….do you know the entirety of his campaign? Why would you assume you know his entire campaign from one ad? You don’t.

Thanks for posting…..btw….just sent this to a major radio host (one of the big four) who loved it.

Let me apologize for the FREEP prude patrol - humorless sad sacks, who in their phony self righteousness, don’t even fully understand the genius of this ad. There are many subtle and politically significant jabs at Boehner which all surround the major thesis of a lack of manhood in perfect humorous analogy.

The pharisees live on….
