Give up meat, coal, oil, economic growth and national sovereignty - orders new IPCC climate report
Breitbart London ^ | 4/14/2014 | James Delingpole

Posted on 04/14/2014 2:28:59 AM PDT by markomalley

The United Nations (UN) has delivered its latest verdict on the measures necessary to save the world from global warming and the news is as grim as it is predictable and wearisomely familiar:

More regulation from "experts", technocrats and bureaucrats at supranational organisations, such as the one whose initials begin with U and end with N.

More taxpayer subsidies for expensive, inefficient renewable energy.

More nuclear power (with shale gas used as a transitional fuel to replace coal).

The abandonment of fossil fuels.

Less meat consumption.

A single, globally-regulated price for carbon dioxide.

More local-government-enforced walking, cycling and public transportation.

More back-door wealth redistribution from the West to the developing world in the name of "sustainability"

All at a cost to the global economy of up to 3.7 per cent of GDP by 2030, provided we act now.

These are the recommendations of Working Group III of the Fifth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), due to be officially announced in Berlin on Monday.

The report notes that almost half of the rise in post-industrial anthropogenic (man-made) CO2 levels since 1750 occurred during the last forty years. Therefore, it argues, a dramatic decarbonization of the world economy - including more renewable energy and less fossil fuel - must begin immediately if global warming is to be kept below 2 degrees C by the end of the century.

I'm actually surprised that they did not recommend forced depopulation ... after all ((shudder)), if the world's population was reduced to 100 million or so, then "climate change" would not be an issue.

If you want to feed these people, you need warm climates.

Given that their name is "International Panel on Climate Change", does anyone really think they will EVER say that the climate is NOT changing? They're just trying to ensure their jobs? You, serf, mean nothing.

Oops, two for the price of one. However, it bares repeating. :-)

They could start by offing themselves as a good faith effort. Their lust for power and control is more than frightening, they need to be treated as the terrorists that they are.

Environuts have made it pretty clear that they hate mankind and would like to see some depopulation. I spoke to one on the subject and he said he’d prefer genocide over extinction.

Eugenics in reverse, huh?

Less meat consumption.

That goal is being accomplished via higher and higher prices.

Not just meat though, my family of 4 is paying through the nose for all groceries.

Oddly, the left has always responded to environmental concerns by promoting socialist dictatorship as a “solution.”

I do note, however, that the panel recommends more nuclear power. That actually *is* a common-sense suggestion that does not involve trying to force people to eat unhealthy unnatural diets (i.e. vegan, vegetarian), wealth redistribution, or totalitarianism.

I’m sure at root behind this there are people who very much like the message on the Georgia Guidestones.

Are they wanting to buy some? I got all they want right down here in my trousers...of course it would have a little methane in it too. I can bag up all they want and send it to them. Anybody know where/how? Is there a centralized clearing house or do they have it distributed like all these "We buy Gold" places.....

I read through that....fascinating to say the least. What really bothered me are a lot of those so-called ‘guides’.

Actually nothing more than a call for globalism and veiled instructions on keeping freedoms to levels (e.g., freedom is okay but has to be managed within the limits of ‘social duties’) that don’t conflict with the goals of whoever created this.

Limiting global population while encouraging and increasing diversity (another ‘guide’)is nothing more than equalization of all, even though talents, intelligence, and innovation varies significantly.

Ah, the Mystique of Socialism.....

Leftists mostly live in cities and from their personal perspective there are way too many people in the world. They wish they could kill off most people, which is exactly why they don't want you owning a gun.

Well we have 0 care here with it's death panels to shorten the lives of the elderly citizens who no longer work to support government. And better still once they die their already income taxed estates will be taxed again with the government dipping its greedy hooks into their life savings. After all the primary purpose of a citizen in the modrn world is to support government, and once you no longer do that then you no longer have any value to the regime. I'm sure shortening the lives of our older citizens will count something toward that goal.

“Give up meat, coal, oil, economic growth and national sovereignty - orders new IPCC climate report”...

Another bunch of liberal garbage.

We would all be better off WITHOUT the IRCC and the UN.
