I distrust both of them. They are from the old Bob Michel wing of the party: “We’ll do what the Dems want, just, less of it and more slowly.” Screw that. Offer a free-market FIX. And if the country ends up voting Democrat, hey, so be it; at least we can say we OFFERED a true solution. At this rate I’ll likely be retiring in another country anyway (if at all).

Given that the states have never delegated to Congress, via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate, tax and spend for public healthcare purposes, the first step of the Obamacare alternative being developed by RINOs Rubio and Ryan should be the following.

They need to rally Congress to propose a healthcare amendment to the Constitution to the states for ratification. And if the states choose to ratify their proposed amendment, then Congress will have the constitutional authority that it needs to legislatively address public healthcare issues and Rubio and Ryan will be heroes.
