GOP official says his party’s full of bigots!
The Daily Caller ^ | 4/8/2014 | Mickey Kaus

Finesse? Not Since Jefferson Dined Alone … : A man named Shaun Kenney was recently named Executive Director of the Virginia Republican party.  Here is a post of his from the blog, Bearing Drift.  In it he argues that “Conservatives have a moral duty to drive out nativism once and for all.” It becomes clear by the end of the post that when he says “nativist” he’s including more or less everyone in the party who opposes “comprehensive immigration reform.”

“There are 12 million people in the United States today who want a better lives for themselves and their families, whose only crime was that they came to America to do it.

‘”The nativists have a very simple solution: apprehend all 12 million of them, boxcar them back to their point of origin, and drive them out as so many locusts. …

‘”he American conservative movement has driven out ideologies from our camp once before. We drove out the progressives and the America First movement in the 1940s. We did it again with the John Birch Society in the 1960s. We did it once again with the anarchists in the 1980s. Every time we have purged the ranks of poison, we have emerged stronger …

“It’s time to clean house.

‘”You will hear a lot of talk in the coming months about immigration reform. In it will be included guest worker programs, documented worker status, real border enforcement that doesn’t require walls, and a sound program that takes an antiquated immigration system and brings it into the 21st century. That’s not amnesty, that’s reform.

“Conservatives embrace the idea of more Americans coming into this country to work hard and prosper.

“Nativists reject Pedro. …

“Drive em out, ladies and gentlemen. …”

I’m a Democrat, so I can’t be too offended by this, though there are plenty of Virgina Republicans who might be.  If the state GOP wants to empower this sophomoric sneerer slanderer to insult their core voters with language reminiscent of Daily Kos on a bad day, that is the state GOP’s problem. But maybe the press should drop the PR that says Kenney got the job because he’s “worked well with both sides.” Or, in his own words describing his suitability for the post:

“It takes a little bit of finesse … and generally being tolerated by all side to be an effective executive director. The executive director is kind of like the first diplomat.”

If Kenney is the Virginia GOP establishment’s** idea of a diplomat, it should be an interesting few years. Or weeks.  …

P.S.: Attempts to reach Kenney by phone and email were unsuccessful.

__________

**–Kenney seems to be an Ed Gillespie person. Gillespie is running for the U.S. Senate seat now held by Democrat Mark Warner. He has long been a strategic squish on amnesty, though not necessarily amnesty that ends in citizenship. Does Gillespie share Kenney’s cheesy Manichean view of the opposition?

The GOP is immolating itself on the altar of the open borders delusion of attracting the Hispanic vote.

According to Jeff Bush it is an act love when foreigners come to live illegally in U.S. because they cannot follow the rule of law and apply to come legally. That is a violation of U.S. sovereignty that any self respected country would tolerate.

Jeff loves undocumented immigrants, but, where is his love for the millions of Americans unemployed? There are 91 million Americans out of the work force. Thanks to Obama we have the lowest participation in the work force since the 1970’s and some demagogues want to open wide our borders to hundreds of millions around the world who would love to enjoy the American dream... but that dream is becoming in an American nightmare for those born here and those who came legally to enjoy our way of life loving the U.S. as much as their country of birth.

What is even more aggravating is that people who entered the country illegally are demanding rights and privileges that American citizens do not enjoy, even though they did not dare to demand from the government of their own country those rights.

California used to be the richest state of America. Now it is almost bankrupt. Anybody can see the result of uncontrolled illegal immigration, and companies are leaving to Texas, Florida and other red states with less taxes and better incentives to invest and prosper.

In fact, unemployment is now lower in Mexico than in U.S.; perhaps Americans will start moving south.

I am pro-immigration. I am not a nativist. However, I also believe in the rule of law. And anyone in this country illegally is a law breaker. So on this, I will have to disagree with Mr. Kenney's position while also pointing out the non-rationality of his argument. This was never about nativism. It is about upholding the rule of law.

I personally know foreigners with advanced degrees who are in this country legally, yet our government will not allow them to seek employment even though their skills are in demand. Yet our same government gives benefits to people here illegally, and does nothing to stand in the way of them also holding jobs.

If one really wants to solve the immigration problem, then STOP GIVING BENEFITS TO PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT US CITIZENS. NO COUNTY HEALTH CLINICS. NO FOOD STAMPS. NO PUBLIC SCHOOL ACCESS. NO SOCIAL SECURITY. NO AFDC. NO EITC. NO WIC. NONE OF IT. Do that, and you will see a halt in illegal immigration.

This would be the same State GOP that rolled over and let McAuliffe and company steal the Governorship, Lt. Gov, and AG in this last election. Meanwhile, the new GOP governor of North Carolina uncovers 35,000 bogus votes in 2012. How many did the Virginia GOP uncover? The answer is zero because they never lifted a finger to find any.

When busloads of voters cross the Potomac to show up in Northern Virginia polling places and cast votes, then you've got a problem. Unfortunately, the Virginia GOP is worthless to do anything about it. They deserve what they get. Ever since they stabbed Oliver North in the back, the entire Commonwealth has gone to hell.

In a sane world, this clueless MF would be crucified by the leadership of the party.

This party currently has no leadership.

Time for a third party yet?

It was time for a third party back in 1996 and the Coup of GOP-E taking over Speaker of House {That Coup was partially engineered by none other than Boehner himself} and control of the Senate as well. Anyone who thinks the GOP can or will ever again be united as a Conservative Party is drinking the GOPO-E and DEMs Kool Aid. The GOP-E and the DEMs are one and the same likely all the way down to both their Donor list.

Whigg Them and be done with them. Send the GOP-E packing to the Democratic Party. Form true opposition to them away from their One World Order One Party Nation Oligarchy.
