Rep. Issa Reveals Emails Between Rep. Cummings' Staff and Targets of IRS Investigation
Breitbart ^ | April 9, 2014 | by John Sexton

Posted on 04/09/2014 3:52:54 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

The heat in the IRS investigation just went up. Rep. Darrell Issa, head of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, sent a letter today to ranking member Rep. Elijah Cummings in which he accuses Cummings of working to "obstruct the investigation" into IRS misbehavior.

The bulk of Rep. Issa's letter is devoted to some recently uncovered emails which demonstrate that Rep. Cummings was seeking information on True the Vote, the voter integrity group based in Texas which became the target of much unwanted government attention.

Cummings' staff contacted the IRS in August 2012 to inform them that they would be opening an investigation into True the Vote's activities. Then in October 2012 Cummings' office began requesting information directly from True the Vote which was very similar to what had previously been requested by the IRS.

For instance, in February the IRS requested information True the Vote's software and training materials. Rep. Cummings office also asked for information on True the Vote's software and training materials in their October 2012 request. Issa's letter suggests the similarities might be more than a mere coincidence, "This timeline and pattern of inquiries raises concerns that the IRS improperly shared protected taxpayer information with your staff."

Five days after Rep. Cumming's first letter to True the Vote in October 2012, in which he requested information on "training materials used for volunteers," the IRS sent True the Vote another request asking for information on volunteers and training.

Then in January 2013, Cummings' office sent a request for information on True the Vote public tax information to the IRS...

Cummings suffered severe brain damage when he landed on Guam and the island tipped over, hitting him in the head.

His CBC buddy Hank Johnson should have warned him about that. B^)

It would appear they’ve setup Cummings to be the fall guy to protect Obama and his jack booted thugs. Cummings is perfect in an Alynskesque way because he’s off limits to media scrutiny.

Brilliant politics. Harmful to the republic.

Sometimes I think these people waste a lot of time writing letters. Why not just get in his face, like that Texan did to Holder.

Maybe he should "go Ukraine" on him.

So then Mr Issa — what are you going to do about it???

He's going to get his hair done, put on a nice suit and try to be sensitive to the IRS officials and their needs.

Is this doesn’t result in at least one person going to PRISON for a very long time, then I think we can officially consider ourselves a banana republic.

You needn't worry about that. We can't grow bananas here.

LOL, well, I guess it is better than going Muslim on him. At least he would still be alive.

Schumer, Franken urged IRS to target tea party in 2012

Long before the Internal Revenue Service revealed it had improperly targeted conservative 501(c)(4) groups, a group of Democratic senators led by New York Sen. Chuck Schumer urged the IRS to do just that.

Last year, Schumer, along with Democratic Sens. Michael Bennet, Sheldon Whitehouse, Jeff Merkley, Tom Udall, Jeanne Shaheen and Al Franken, penned a letter calling on the agency to cap the amount of the political spending by groups masquerading as “social welfare organizations.”

I’d like to see Weird Al and Shumucky frogmarched before a committee, but they’d probably just plead the fifth, too.

So it is starting to rain down on democratic politicians in Washington DC - Cummings, probably going to the likes of Reid, Pelosi, Franken, Schumer and probably more long term democrats like Kerry too. Just wait the crappola will hit the fan and the next boot will fall a little ole Obama will be implicated by many of the democrats whom do not wante their carreers and pensions affected. Watch and see the truth will trickle out.

A conspiracy between the Executive and members of Congress to commit multiple felonies.

Therefore it's a RICO case.

"Therefore it's a RICO case"

One that will never see a Grand Jury or be prosecuted as long as Obama holds office.
