Sen. John McCain: Send Weapons To Ukraine

[Caption:] U.S. Senator John McCain, center, speaks as Democratic Senator from the state of Connecticut, Chris Murphy, second left, and Opposition leader Oleh Tyahnybok [All Ukrainian Union "Svoboda" leader], stand around him during a Pro-European Union rally in Independence Square in Kiev, Ukraine, Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013.

Sen. John McCain (R. Ariz.) advocated for sending arms to Ukraine Tuesday [link at URL] on Fox News.

McCain acknowledged the arms would not likely enable Ukraine to defeat the Russians in open war, but emphasized it could improve the Ukrainian military's morale and ensure that the Russians would have "a real fight on their hands" if they invaded further.

Host Neil Cavuto asked McCain if the Europeans should be the ones to step up and assist Ukraine considering their position "in the neighborhood" and interests with respect to Russian energy.

"We always want the Europeans to man up," McCain said, "but it's the United States of America that leads. If we're not going to do anything, how the hell do you expect the Europeans to do something on their own? We are not doing anything, so why should they? The United States has got to lead."

McCain also criticised President Obama for not only failing to lead in Ukraine, but shying away from assisting the Free Syrian Army [link at URL].

Who were those Syrian rebels that McCain was photographed with last year?

And why is McCain and Chris Murphy on stage with (of all people) Oleh Tyhanybok of "Svoboda"?

Putin is a thug, and we all know this... but send weapons over there? Let Europe do if if they so desire. Right?

What would have happened if we had armed Syrian rebels? Whose hands might they have ended up in?

Whose hands might arms end up in if we send them to Ukraine?

Svoboda? Right Sector? Others not any better than they?

If we send weapons to the Ukraine, don’t be surprised if Russian equipment ends up in the hands of Atzlan seperatists.

Blow back sucks.

Yes. It is actually a suspended threat that would do far more mischief to us than pawn grabbing former Soviet territories for missile bases will do to the Russian Federation.

********

The Ukraine might be filled with Communists, Nazis and poofs, but they have done nothing to deserve that severe a fate.

A weaker than weak Europe ultimately leads to where we are now. A mess with thug Putin at the helm and the Kosovo referendum still biting.

It could very well have been a huge mistake if we had armed Syrian rebels. Who knows where the weapons would have ended up in Syria. Can anyone say “fast and furious”?

Considering McCain’s overt actions supporting AlQaida in Syria and neo-Nazis in Kiev, perhaps McCain could be charged with crimes against humanity by the international court. It would be a fitting end to his malignant career.

Geeze - this guy really wants to play the part of Slim Pickens in real life.
Let's just give him his missile to ride into the Ukraine/Russian border - just make sure it is a dud. A two-fer, makes him happy, makes us happy (hopefully he just lands in an open field).

Remember when Rand Paul ripped into McCain over those pics of McCain in Syria? Did McCain ever get in any hot water over that? Nope. Stood next to Oleh - and no trouble over that, either.
