An official says four students were believed to be seriously injured at a high school near Pittsburgh, where a student with a knife stabbed or slashed others, injuring as many as 20.
Westmoreland County emergency management spokesman Dan Stevens says not all of the 20 injured were cut by the knife, though most were. Some suffered scrapes and cuts in the mayhem that ensued at Franklin Regional High School in Murrysville on Wednesday morning.-

Was this a multi-knife situation? Was it a machete? Did he buy this from a knife dealer or from some street dealer?
Still unclear as to the motives of the perp or any other description thereof. Might be a nutcase. Might be a ROPer.

That doesn't stop their cops from confiscating it or make it easy for people to go through the hassles of trying to get it back once confiscated.

My daughter, who doesn’t want to own a gun, has a 2 foot long 3-1/2 pound knife for home defense of the type Gurkas use.

No one died in this attack, and no one is expected to die, which does lend support to the gun control side. If the attacker had a gun, the injuries would have been worse.
At least American knife attackers seem to lack the skill seen in China, where Uighur jihadis kill travellers in train stations and madmen kill kindergartners by the score.
