It’s called a honey pot. The motive is extortion and/or blackmail. McAllister has money and is facing an election in Nov.
She has lost her job and, possibly, her marriage. How did that work out for her? Not to mention that if there was extortion, she may be facing a felony charge.
So she would do this willfully in front of a public security camera. The footage of which has now been released. She now has zero leverage.
If you’re going to blackmail someone, you film it yourself, not via a public security camera.
