CLOVIS, Calif. —Bikini-clad baristas who work at a Northern California coffee shop are brewing up a bit of controversy with some folks upset with their attire.

Residents in Clovis are collecting signatures for a petition telling City Council members that they want the servers at the Bottom's Up to either cover up or close up shop permanently, the Fresno Bee reported.

Candice Eslick, 50, who lives a block from the shop that began operating in January, said the attire choices of servers are not right for her neighborhood or the city. She hopes to deliver a petition to the City Council on April 21.

Meanwhile, Clovis City Attorney David Wolfe said the city probably can't do anything about the business. Wolfe said residents called the city after a TV story on the shop last month featured a barista apparently showing too much skin when she bent over.

I came here to read the comments. I wasn’t expecting any pictures.

And you read Playboy for the articles, right?

I do not want to look at some girl’s ass while I’m eating an open face roast beef and gravy sandwich.

So eat a taco.

:)

“What do you want to bet that Ms. Eslick would make a freight train take a dirt road?”

She gets some face time on this news show:

“...because until it upsets their own values its just a big joke to some freepers....”

The problem today is that too many people feel they have the right to stick their nose into other people’s business. My own conservative values get offended constantly, but that’s the price of living in a free society.

A business owner would have to be insane to cater to only 4% if the population with a gay themed business, probably even less in Clovis. But it might work in the Castro District in San Francisco.

So I guess I’ll never find out, since I generally stay out of the Castro since I have no interest in being there. But maybe drive to Clovis might be in order...

“Not ugly at all.”

Physically, I’d agree.

But why she feels the need to monkey with the success of someone else isn’t an attractive attribute.

Being offended doesn’t give her that right. Let’s see how this plays out with the city council. I’ll bet the male members will have to do some “fact finding” research...

So eat a taco.

I’m afraid I might get confused and bite into the wrong thing.

Yep, Big Brother is watching. That also stopped drivers from “backing up” their log books. The only way to make real good money was to drive extra hours and cook the books. Now that can’t be done. The cops can plug their laptop into your truck and know exactly how long you’ve been driving.
