Students Fed Up With Michelle Obama’s School Lunch Overhaul — Menu-Item Snapshots Spell Out Why
The Blaze ^ | 4/5/2014 | Dave Urbanski

First, about one million public school students said “no way” to their cafeteria menus after Michelle Obama’s anti-obesity campaign led to anger and frustration over food that apparently many American kids didn’t want to stomach.

But for those without other options, all that’s left is the power of social media and cell phone cameras when they simply can’t take another bite:

I left the bad language captioned one in. Be sure to see the comments. My favorite:

Here’s an idea, how about they strictly serve NOTHING but these lunches to michelle, her mother in law, obama and his spawn at the white house and EVERYWHERE else they go, inclusive of vacations! I’d be willing to bet the menu wouldn’t survive one afternoon!

Why is it that the FLOTUS (any FLOTUS) has the power to make this happen?

Yeah, she can nag and complain, but why does she have this power?

The people who should be punished (and fired) are the school board, superintendent, and principals who genuflect to this double-wide FLOTUS.

(The “L” stands for “lardbutt”.)

This is crap. I wonder if her kids should be eating the same thing at their school? Or how about Michelle eat this along with her staff?

If those photos accurately depict what the kids were given (and I have no reason to believe otherwise), those “lunches” verge on child abuse. Not only in the paltry portions but in what looks to be complete lack of flavor.

And I bet they cost the taxpayer a pretty penny, too.

Remember Moochelle’s party affiliation when you reach voting age, kids, and vote against giving that party the ability to inflict similar treatment in other areas of your life. (granted, the other major party is no prize, but there is still hope to change that from within by the time you reach voting age)

Why can’t parents make these little boneheads lunch? Fully half of the parents and more voted for this BS. Enjoy!

My daughter is in 11th grade at a public HS. Hard to believe but the principle is a conservative. We pack a lunch every day for our daughter and always have. Why people think that the school could EVER serve a better lunch than Mom can with a brown bag is beyond me!

I was the chef at my kids’ (Catholic) school for six years and I NEVER would have served that crapola to the children.

If I wouldn’t put it on my own table, it didn’t go out.

Guess what? The kids ate REAL lunches, made with REAL ingredients, and everything except the chicken nuggets mas made from scratch by me and the other gals in the kitchen. (I just couldn’t get the kindergarteners to give up the nuggets. However, I did make sure that they were real white meat nuggets and not the public school ones. OMG...the public school nuggets were the most disgusting things I’d ever seen. We got them delivered to us by accident one day. I made one batch, tried one, and tossed it. No nuggets that day. Disgusting.)

But I made pizza by hand, cookies by hand, all tomato sauced lunches were made by hand, fresh homemade soup on EVERY cold day, a nice big salad bar...well...you get the idea. The kids had lunches that their own moms would have made for them.

This garbage that they’re feeding the children today? I wouldn’t eat it, either. The 1% “milk” would be enough for me to toss it right there. LOL

Regards,

Notice that the next to the last Tweeter just doesn’t get it! They ask Michelle to “fix” their lunch. The proper response is the ask / tell Obama to leave their lunch alone!

We have the same problem with Senator McCain. He has already been on the radio stating that we need to “fix” Obamacare. My response: Get the Federal government off the neck of the health care industry. Hands off!

It would be interesting to see pictures of the
typical “lunches” at Sidwell Friends school.
Bet they don’t look anything like these.

I went to a government high school and packed my lunch. I brought whatever thehell I wanted. In four years, I NEVER ate the cafeteria food. If I didn’t bring lunch in a brown paper bag from home, I bought it from the vending machines - coke, doritos, snickers, whoppers, lifesavers, honey buns, etc., you know ... a well-balanced teenage meal. Then, when I had a job at 16, I could occasionally buy a sub from Unbeatable Eatables in Country Club Hills, IL.

Are these gross food items free or do kids have to pay for them?

BTW, I still pack my lunch almost every day. The money I save is spent on beer.

Growing bodies need fuel.
If someone is obese, deal with it then.
Kids take note, this is how the communists' one-size-must-fit-all works out in real life.

Where’s all the Moochshelle’s garden variety salad items so bragged about in the media? Kids don’t get desserts like we did years ago? Scrooge them Dept of Education tyrants and their royal DC queen of hypocrites.

Ah, the schoolag archipelago. Such fond memories.

When I was in fifth grade, the sixth grade "bullies" started a lunch strike. They intimidated most kids into going along.

On day 3, the principal came down to the cafeteria and screamed hysterically for 5 minutes. I didn't understand a thing he said, but I knew a nervous breakdown when I saw one.

I encourage these kids to do the same.

It's one of my few fond memories of school.
