White House senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer said a selfie taken last week by Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz may lead to an end to the photos at the White House.
President Obama appeared with Ortiz in the image, taken during a White House visit by the World Series champion Boston Red Sox.
It was later revealed that Ortiz had an agreement with Samsung to promote the company’s phones.
“Well, he obviously didn't know anything about Samsung's connection to this,” Pfeiffer said on CBS’s “Face the Nation.” “And perhaps maybe this will be the end of all selfies.”
“We've had conversations with Samsung about this and expressed our concerns,” Pfeiffer said on CBS’s “Face the Nation.”
Pfeiffer would not provide specifics of those discussions when asked by host Bob Schieffer.
“We've leave that conversation between the lawyers,” he said.
And that's how selfies became illegal.

I think they were concerned about the fact that it was pretty obvious that he was “stoned” for this event.
It’s a great, demented pleasure of mine that the funeral selfie will be the most famous photo of Obama’s administration.
Its a general loss of decorum and pride at the White House - sold cheap to appear “hip” - or from people who never understood decorum and pride in the first place.
And children are in charge.
If she had only stopped there it would be believable.
So what’s the problem? The Samsung deal or taking a “selfie” with Mr. I’m the Only Self?
Pardon my density. How could one tell which brand of cell phone took the selfie? Unless you look at the technical details of the .jpg where it would be listed. And how many people are gonna do that.

I’ve never heard how Mrs. Cameron ‘enjoyed’ seeing her British husband all bunched up hip to hip with the Great Dane Jezebel! (i’m joking). However Miss Michelle was at that moments calculating how Barack ‘was gonna pay’ for this very public humiliation. The China Visit (w/o Barry) was part of her plan. She even waved the Red Chinese Flags while over there, so thrilled to rub it in his face that no one ‘controls’ Michelle but herself, and maybe Grandma Robinson.
In that photo, Michelle is as stoic as a Cigar Store Indian, as they used to say. Almost like a sphinx.
