There is no punishment. There is no accountability. Exactly WHY would they discontinue this targeting?
How would you go about firing Lois Lerner or Kathleen Sebelius?... They are NOT civil Service employees. They were appointed and protected by the elected officials, who are not under term limits. What does their positions have to do with ANY elected position? I’m only asking for an answer.
The issue is the "fellow traveler" idea. Ideologues hire idealogues - ideologues promote policies without direction.
This puts a newly elected representative in the position of mass firing to clean house. This rarely happens and, if it does, DemonRats (Clinton) and Republicans (Bush) receive different scrutiny from the media.
Have you ever worked for a boss that you knew would be somewhere else when review time came? You don't listen as closely - it's human nature.
I also know that many, if not most, Conservatives have adopted this notion of term limits and no amount of warning will shake their belief in this panacea so I will now quit trying.
If term limits come to pass, you will learn soon enough.
For me, it is still the Constitution as written.

Final thought: J. Edgar Hoover....Could Have been told bye-bye at any time. I remember him in Sunday school comics that he was the best, most forefront fighter of Communism Ever. So what? He probably was. Why would term limits get him to spend 30 years in the FBI? If the entrenched
Reps. were replaced, they could have replaced him DURING the WW11. I JUST don’t understand WHY you think someone (Senator or Rep.) should be voted in for perpituity.
