George Orwell gave us a look at the operation of a totalitarian one-party state in 1984. This week Mozilla gave us a look at its nascent liberal variant. Recently appointed CEO Brandon Eich was officially made a nonperson. He was dispatched down the memory hole as the company announced that he has “step[ped] down from his role as CEO” as a result of his contribution of $1,000 to the passage of California’s Prop 8 six years ago. This is what the liberal variant of Newspeak sounds like:
Mozilla believes both in equality and freedom of speech. Equality is necessary for meaningful speech. And you need free speech to fight for equality. Figuring out how to stand for both at the same time can be hard.
Our organizational culture reflects diversity and inclusiveness. We welcome contributions from everyone regardless of age, culture, ethnicity, gender, gender-identity, language, race, sexual orientation, geographical location and religious views. Mozilla supports equality for all.
We have employees with a wide diversity of views. Our culture of openness extends to encouraging staff and community to share their beliefs and opinions in public. This is meant to distinguish Mozilla from most organizations and hold us to a higher standard. But this time we failed to listen, to engage, and to be guided by our community.
Now that Mozilla has listened, engaged and been guided by its community, Mr. Eich has been found guilty of thought crime (or “thoughtcrime,” as Orwell had it) and right deviationism. He has been dispatched down the memory hole in the name of “diversity” and “inclusiveness” in a corporate statement that lacked only the necessary smiley face.
Jonah Goldberg wrote the book on Liberal Fascism. “It is my argument,” he writes, “that American liberalism is a totalitarian political religion.” Mozilla’s highly illuminating statement shows us liberals at prayer.
Where is our Vaclav Havel?
The Obama movement has emboldened coercive utopians, and has used them to divide the nation the same way Obama has politically divided Congress. Obama will be known as the treasonous , polarizing president. They use Joseph Goebbels style propaganda work to exploit the polarization of America at every turn.
This is the beginning of a fascist movement in America, as described and predicted in the book,Liberal Fascism , by Jonah Goldberg.

And whats worse, America elected them , a propaganda trucked, traduced people, victim of propaganda, illogical choice, and an inflated political charisma from a Manchurian Candidate.
We should be more than ashamed.

It really is about Liberal Fascism. In other words, Leftism, and the ultimate extreme example of Nazism.
History will continue to reveal that this President, like the styrofoam Greek columns placed at Invesco Field for his acceptance speech, was a fraud.
No failure. They listened to the lynch mob, engaged the enemy within and guided themselves to a higher level of political correctness. One of two VP's in my office gave the maximum to Obama in 2012. Meanwhile the Open Secrets website has a record of my donations to some conservative Senators including some "embattled" by the left. On the one hand I feel a little vulnerable, but on the other hand I am just a peon. If I am laid off it won't be because of my politics. But the precedent has been set and it will be used more and more.

Liberals detest the "bourgeois" right of free speech in the abstract. The "free speech" they champion is limited to the speech that pushes history forward. Reaction and counterrevolution have no rights.
It's the Hegelian dialectic.
That statement sums up their mindset, because it is of course demonstrably false. Were equality to be a requirement for meaningful speech, then no speech in history is "meaningful"
By the Mozilla test, nothing Washington, Franklin, Adams or any other of our nation's founding fathers said was "meaningful". Nor was, for example, Lincoln's address at Gettysburg, since women couldn't vote then, and gays couldn't marry either. And for that matter, nothing published in any newspaper, or said at any protest up until now could have been "meaningful".
When the second sentence in your rationale is demonstrably false, the rationale is just BS, put out as cover for an obviously anti free speech and anti-freedom agenda. I wonder what the people who ousted Mozilla's CEO will say when somebody fires them because they expressed their opinion on some other political issue.
