No inheritance for Anderson! CNN anchor Anderson Cooper, who comes from the Vanderbilts, one of the wealthiest families in American history, said Monday, March 31, that he will not be receiving any fortune from his mother Gloria Vanderbilt.
"My mom's made clear to me that there's no trust fund," Cooper told Howard Stern on his radio show. "There's none of that."
Cooper's mom is the great-great-granddaughter of railroad and shipping mogul Cornelius Vanderbilt. Still stunning at 90 years old, the Manhattan socialite and former denim designer is reportedly worth a whopping $200 million.
Gloria's equally-successful son, however, told Stern he was okay with not receiving an inheritance at all. "I don't believe in inheriting money," he said. "I think it's an initiative sucker. I think it's a curse."

Well, I don’t think Anderson Cooper will be clipping coupons anytime soon.

Ahhh so that’s the reason they handed him a microphone in the first place. I’d take a gay Anderson Cooper over a straight Bill Maher any day though...
Doesn’t believe in inheriting money because he was able to achieve tens of millions of his own on mostly the family name.
Also, may not be a trust fund from his mom’s estate, but who is to say there wasn’t one much earlier for him for when he was 21? Could already have taken in the inheritance before that he now says he hates.

Yep. He doesn’t go around “drag queening” his homosexuality to everyone and you have to respect him for that.

No matter how liberal a parent is or who much they outward claim to support homosexuality, and don't care as long as "their child to be happy". The truth is, even they die a little inside if their child comes out as a homosexual, even the leftist loons have dreams of the perfect family and a house full of grandkids as they grow old, whether they admit it or not.
